Cozy spot but food was very “try hard” like you could tell they put effort in but the final product just didn’t match the effort level. Drinks were very expensive 16$ for a beer. Tons of options in Portland I recommend exploring other spots.

Despite staying at The Press Hotel numerous times we never grabbed a drink at the bar here and always went out instead. I kinda regret that and believe this was the perfect spot to end our night before returning to our room. With a small bar but a vast amount of lounge chairs and other comfortable seating, there is area for a good amount of people. Similarly priced cocktails as many other spots in the area with the ability to ask for other common drinks as well. I enjoyed both the Grapefruit Paloma and Bee’s Knees. It was quite a surprising dead night for a Friday according to the bartender but it was nice chatting about local spots including lots about some local breweries. Friendly and knowledgeable bartender with good drinks and nice vibes! What else could you ask for from a hotel bar/lounge? They do also offer some snacks/light bites but didn’t try any so no word on those. A popular spot for people grabbing a drink before or after a show at Merrill Auditorium.

Nice lobby bar with excellent service.
Super nice hotel bar in the Press Marriott property. The staff were excellent each time we visited, and the cocktails we tried were very well made. I appreciated the beers on draft, and the nice atmosphere for the bar area (the fireplace puts out a ton of heat!) Would definitely recommend a visit for those staying at the hotel, and for those wanting a hotel bar vibe more generally.

Xpisto is the best!
An exquisite hotel lobby bar! Well-designed with printing press artifacts and typewriters. It’s the perfect place to read a book. Or order amazing cocktails! Or, both! I’m savoring an espresso martini with hints of orange and honey, with an espresso-forward flavor profile. Thanks to the talented bartender, Suhail. Bliss!
$18 burger was ordered medium. Served 45 minutes later, cold, with uncooked raw meat in the middle. No utensils were given. Drinks were “ok”. Crowd consisted of annoying “bro” types. Not going back.

Chris know how to mix drinks.. love it.
Breakfast at Inkwell was delicious and the service very good. My mushroom toast was fresh, full of flavour and so tasty. The orange juice is freshly squeezed (not concentrate) and the coffee was good. Stylish surrounds and comfortable environment. Would recommend.
The happy hour is basically unbeatable. $3 draft beers and then a mix of great food specials as well. Love the vibe, love the service. Overall a great spot and highly recommend staying at the hotel as well!
Slow service with little interest.
In Portland for a bit, and decided to give a hotel bar a try. We were graciously welcomed and seated. The ambience is relaxing and warm, chill house music and a fireplace or two. A few improvements I would advise them to make in achieving five stars would be to expand their alcohol selection and also institute a policy for when a waiter leaves his\her shift, they notify the patron.
