An underwhelming (but budget-friendly) experience for afternoon tea. The food itself was quite lovely, particularly the mini lobster rolls and macarons. But the tea options were limited and quite literally... Tazo tea bags. Service was kind, but intermittent and comfort was mixed given we were seated at couches with a low coffee table.
The greatest value was probably the free valet parking - this is a great location in downtown Portland, easily walkable to other shops and attractions for a stroll post-tea time!

Went here for afternoon tea, which was quite nice. The lounge still has decorative bottles during the afternoon, but was still a nice setting for tea, which was served on a coffee table (?) Service was excellent and the meal included a lobster roll. Oddly, the teapots had infusers even though they used tea bags. The clotted cream and jam came out a little bit late, but still in time for the scones The Regency has valet parking, and there's also on-street parking, though that can be hard to get in the Old Port section of Portland.

My husband and I came here for tea. Unfortunately, it was a lackluster excuse for low tea (this is not high tea, it's seated thankfully). The food was at most okay, one of the two scone flavors was not very edible and the salmon was quite over seasoned. The finger sandwiches were also cut in the oddest shape and couldn't really be eaten as finger sandwiches should be due to the unfortunate shape. My husband's tea was also such poor quality that he couldn't drink more than a couple of sips. The tea service is also served in a lounge without proper tables so it's quite an awkward experience. The servers were good though, just inexperienced at tea service it seems. I wouldn't ever recommend this unless there's a significant upgrade.
