Great view of the water, with some of the best food we've had in Maine. I see why their lobster roll is award-winning, because they're the only restaurant that seems to understand the importance of the bread it's served on! The fried shrimp and clam chowder are awesome, and the drinks are TO DIE FOR. We had the Sealy Dan Punch and Strawberry Margarita.
The staff is great and we saw them accommodating everyone outside when it started to rain. Highly recommend to anyone in Portland!

Great views. Great service. Reasonable prices. Seafood flights to find out what you like and to offer variety. Great spot. Loved the dinner.

Tried several lobster places in town, this was BY FAR the best. Excellent and generous lobster rolls (try the mini-flight of 3), haddock chucks to DIE for, and excellent cocktails and local beer selection. A table with a view is worth the wait and you will get a sweeping panorama of the bay! Finally ask for the blue berry pie ala mode, UNBELIEVABLE. So good we went twice in three days....

,based on the great reviews, this was our first stop in Portland, and we ordered a couple classic Lobster Rolls. We had no wait time for outdoor seating, staff was welcoming and friendly, and happy to help us navigate the menu. Food came out quickly, and was absolutely fresh and fantastic.
We tried a different lobster roll place the following day which was located in a town 20 miles away and was also well-reviewed, and honestly, it was awfull. We immediately walked away from that place leaving our food uneaten, and decided we'd return to Luke's.
The next day we were back at Luke's and ordered 6oz libster rolls, upgrading our sides to the Blueberry salad (very delicious) and we also ordered haddock bites to share. Fantastic meal, another great server - Thank you, Riley! You're the best.
On our way out I saw the info about Luke's being a certified B corp, and did a bit more research....this company is mission-driven, very environmentally pro-active, takes great care of their team members from the lobstermen (and woman) to the servers. It was great to learn that best lobster in Portland comes from a well-run company.
My ONLY complaint was that they didn't have any Luke's Lobsters hat that I could buy to wesr home. (They did have shirts, but they weren't my color.)
Absolutely LOVE Luke's, and will be ordering mail-order Lobster Roll kits as gifts for friends.

Went there early for lunch, no crowd. The food served quick and taste good. There is arrangement of fixed waiter/waitress serving fixed tables, so always go back to the person served you.

OMG the Lobster Roll Flight is divinely delicious. I started with the Cheese Curds and they were good also had a bowl of Clam Chowder wasn't the best of my travels but pretty good. My drink for the added bonus was Blueberry Mojito, had to try after learning the area is known for tiny delicious Blueberries. Luke's is a must visit if you go to Portland, Maine!

Overrated imo
Fried haddock lacked any flavor, don't order.
Clam chowder was watery and just bad.
Steamed lobster was good, as they are anywhere.
Crab roll had what looked like crab meat piled high but it tasted like dried out crab meat, not good.
View and atmosphere weren't that great either.
I dont recommend at all.

Stopped here for lunch while in town on a cruise. The food was amazing and the ambiance on the back deck was perfect. Everything from the lobster rolls to the haddock bites and the chowder was terrific! Highly recommended when in Portland

Restaurantji Recommends
It was an exceptional experience from the moment we walked in. The hostess at the front was so kind to us and our pup! They certainly make their guest feel very welcomed. We were sat at a fantastic table outside with an outstanding view of the ocean. The food was so fresh and tasty and even had excellent options for my wife who’s a vegetarian! We even recommend them to guest we met our hotel! Thank you and will definitely be back soon.

We sat outside and really enjoyed the water view and could see boats coming in. Tried the trio of mini lobster rolls and interesting to sample the different flavors without committing to a whole roll. The meat was tender, good size, and all 3 very tasty Tried the blueberry salad and it was just ok, looked beautiful but was a bit bland despite the unique ingredients. Guess I just expected something more flavorful. Don’t forget to look through the big glass window right when you walk inside the restaurant, it’s some sort of fresh lobster storage area. Pretty cool.

Stopped in at Luke’s for a lobster lunch. Place was packed but moved quickly. There is a bar downstairs and upstairs that has self seating which is what we did.
Fried pickles and Lobster were great.
I would also mention that this area gets extremely busy due to the cruise ships coming in to dock. Usually if you go after 3ish, the area does not have as many people because the ships leave port at 4 PM.

Big busy tourist place at the end of the pier. Tourist prices but good quality and very good service. Great views of the harbor indoor and out. We had terrific calamari and nice broiled haddock. Whole belly clams were thin bitter. Fries were just ok.
