Ok Marcy's is so good.We went on a Saturday around 930, we snagged the last two seats at the bar. The atmosphere is 10/10 so cozy like high ceilings and the restaurant is narrow and long and it's intentionally outdated/unchanged and it's awesome. So initially we looked at the menu and was like eh menu is small. I was sweating a little because I chose BUT it was like the absolute best. They had home made cinnamon rolls that are so nostalgic they reminded me of the pilsbury cinnamon rolls that I had growing up but so much better like bigger and almost under cooked but in a really good way. You know how sometimes you order a cinnamon roll and the sides are like stiff and kind of dry these were soooo doughy and the frosting was ooc. Ok and that was just the impulse buy.Edit:: came back just to tell you they heated the frigging cinnamon roll up before they gave it to me.So for main breakfast I had a custom veggie omelette feta, onion, broccoli. Oh god it was so good the egg part is very thin and not over cooked at all, again, you know how you order an omelette and the outside is rubbery- not the case. The frigging hash browns are incredible I saw them putting them on the grill pretty sure they were using fresh potato only because they were going on and they weren't frozen. So the hash browns they cook CRISPY and id like to know what type of potato because parts were almost mashed potato-y. My partner had the burrito which he said was "best breakfast I Eva had- I told the owna, then they gave me a muffin" (Boston accent). So whatever place was so good I loved it you should go.

i don’t think i’ve ever written a review for a place just not my style but holy moly molly marcy’s diner warrants one, best omelet i’ve had in this city. hands down. no competition. atmosphere was top notch, artful/eclectic and unpretentious, a combo that’s largely lost on portland. service was attentive and warm, music was great. asked for our leftover joes in to go cups, got poured two new ones for free on our exit. stellar. new go to fave of all faves diner for friggin sure. and i’m picky

Cute, busy diner. Gluten free options. We had the chili bean omelet, it was pretty good! Fast service, nice people. The owner is the cook - always a good sign for a diner!

We had an awesome experience at Marcy’s Diner. From the moment you walk in the door you know this is the spot. Everyone was super friendly, the setting is very casual and the classic rock music playing was very nostalgic for us. Our server was friendly and attentive. The vast menu and prices are amazing, and the food is soooooo good. This was a top 3 all time break fast experience for both of us, can’t wait to come back.

Was a little bit of a wait on a Saturday morning but definitely worth it. Grillled muffin was delicious. Enjoyed an omelette which was delicious. Hash browns with perfect amount of crisp. Great way to start the day in portmand

Great diner experience in the heart of Portland! I haven't had hash browns like this since moving to the state. Definitely recommend!

Never been to this place but glad to hear the owner will kick you out for being disruptive, even a child. People need to remember that professionalism isn't required just a courtesy in places like this. If you don't like it, don't go there.

Soo I have been very loyal to Becky’s for many years. I was not aware she had a sister…hehe and well , Marcy is definitely a rival. Both are fabulous Portland diners. Marcy’s honestly had a slight edge in the food quality. Both are excellent but I thought at least on this day Marcy’s was just a little better.

Maine has a lot of great things that make it such a great place to visit. Drive-in theaters, water parks, the beaches and lakes, the numerous small towns and cities. Portland is a foodie town with restaurants that range from hole in the wall to fancy. Then there are the diners. Marcy's is one of the last true diners. Small as it may be, the food is great, the coffee is fresh, the staff are genuine and the wait is worth it. A true diner has to have the vibe, the one that welcomes anyone and leaves you feeling like you found your new favorite place. Marcy's has that vibe. It's family, it's friends, it's very cool!

Loved this place. I visited from upstate Ny, and was looking forward to try the blueberries. I had the muffin (toasted) and the pancake. The local maple syrup was incredible. My friend had the Hobo hashbrowns and loved it too. Jacob was very friendly and polite. I ordered a BLT wrap to go for later and the amount of bacon they put on it was amazing. Great atmosphere. A short walk from the Westin even in the snow :). Keep the good work!

Love the atmosphere. Service was excellent. Real maple syrup is available, just ask (not on table) Great funky vibe, will definitely be back when we are in town.

My favorite diner in Portland! Your typical diner food, one of the best grilled blueberry muffins I’ve had. Fun, nostalgic Sunny-D mimosa. Sitting at the bar watching everyone work together and timing things right is admirable. We also witnessed a kind act from the cook - you can just tell the employees at Marcy’s are good people who make good food!
