Cannot get enough Mazzat! One of few Halal restaurants in the area and delicious food at that. Can’t recommend enough.

The food at this restaurant is great. The young kids working inside are too. But the tall mustached man there is a disaster. He look like almost beat me up for ordering. He said no to every dish I asked for. My wife and I used to love this place but I won't be coming back.👎

So good we ordered another shwarma to go! Very solid choice for Mediterranean food in Portland. No frills eat in atmosphere - seems like mainly take out .

I’ve never had shish-kebab like it before, that’s amazing flavor, you’d better try that sometime.

Incredible meal. We tried the beef kebab and the falafel plate. Highly recommend. Very nice people that work there, too.

I LOVE Mazzat! They put so much care into everything they make. When you order a platter, it comes with small servings of soup, salad, hummus or baba ganoush, rice, and dessert. It’s like a multi-course feast for a super affordable price.

The food was absolutely amazing! I got the chicken shawarma plate and my partner got the Veggie plate. The seasoning and spices really brought out each dish. The rice, chicken, and tzatziki sauce combo was mind blowing and the baklava made me laugh out loud it was so good! The service was very friendly and prompt. Definitely recommend and it is going on my list of regular spots. If you are looking for casual and delicious this is the place to be!

Highly recommended. Very good classic Mediterranean offerings with some unique menu items too. We ordered the falafel, humus, and sambousas for take out. Falafel was hot and crispy on the outside, soft and smooth on the inside. The humus was well balanced, creamy, and delicious. The sambousas had a lovely potato and vegetable filling with a nice hit of turmeric. They gave us each a small cup of really wonderful lentil soup while we waited for our food; and we also ordered the tres leches cake, which was very good. The gyros cooking in the kitchen also looked great. The restaurant is very small, with only four tables, but it’s cozy and clean. The staff was friendly, and the prices were reasonable. We’ll be back to try the lamb shank, the kubbah, and the cheese and spinach pie!

Ordered through Grubhub because I don't have a car tonight. I ordered a hamburger - no cheese, no mayo. Covered in cheese and mayo. The hamburger itself looked terrible and dry. Called and the offered to make me a new one. I just need to drive there to get it. Don't bother going here. I don't know how they got as high of a review as they have. I won't be back.

We recently discovered this excellent little restaurant. Our friend was visiting from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. She requested the we eat at a Mediterranean restaurant, as that is not a venue she has access to back in the U.P. So we ate there that evening. And . . . tonight we ate there again.
Our food was delicious both times. The staff is affable. The place is well lit and pleasant. It will only seat about ten people, hence most patrons order food to go. The food is relatively inexpensive.
We were surprised each time when they brought an appetizer of warm, tasty lentil soup. Delicious! I’ve ordered the chicken shawarma plate both time. It comes with a heaping portion of seasoned chicken, a small salad, a dolma, tzatziki sauce, hummus, pita chips, and crispy french fries. Best of all - they include a piece of heavenly, buttery, honey-dripping baklava. Good for four or five bites. With the exception of the baklava, there were plenty of leftovers. Basically two meals.
Go Mediterranean some evening soon and give this place a try!

Awesome, super friendly service — they even brought everyone in the restaurant free lentil soup! The food was superb, especially the veggie sambusas and the powerful Iraqi tzatziki. Will definitely return.

This is a great place to experience middle eastern food with ample seating and an open kitchen so you can see what you're getting in the process. It was very clean and the food was amazing.
