I’m in Portland 2-3 times a month for work, and plan my day around going to Mr Tuna. If I lived in Portland, I would go to Mr Tuna 2-3 times per week. I might need to move to Portland because of Mr Tuna. Seriously, it’s delicious and fresh and unique and the service is outstanding. They also have the best wallpaper in restaurant bathroom history. You should really check it out!

Came in for a quick snack at the sushi bar. The new space is beautiful. Sitting at the bar is always fun since you can watch your order being made. The rolls were delicious as always, and I was super impressed with the wine list. Highly recommend.

We tried to go to Mr.tuna because they were running a special on Election Day where if you wore your “I just voted” sticker, they would give you half off on hand rolls.

My friend and I tried to go during our lunch break and order. What they didn’t mention on any of their marketing was that you need to eat indoors and sit down in order to take advantage.

We were turned down and wasted our entire lunch break walking to get hand rolls.

It just felt really disingenuous because it didn’t specify that on any of their marketing. I know the Portland restaurant scene is competitive but it just left a bad taste in my mouth.

If your serious about sushi Mr. Tuna is a must! Service was fast and friendly, food was exceptional and possibly the best sushi spot in Portland. Obviously if your going the tuna options are a must, the black beard roll really stole the show! Don't skip the dessert, vanilla caramel miso ice cream in a pastry was stellar! Pricing is fair and the fact that the offer a happy hour with half off rolls is really cool. Some of the dishes are a bit spendy but completely worth it for the level of attention to detail. Every aspect of the meal was amazing, can't wait to go back for more!

A fantastic sushi place in Portland, Maine!
I would highly recommend their hand rolls-- the nori is crisp and delightful and perfectly complements the flavorful ingredients inside. Everything smells and tastes fresh. Get their tuna and the seasonal special uni handroll... they are AMAZING.

Dietary restrictions: They have a separate gluten free menu and takes dietary restrictions very seriously! My husband had no reactions after eating here :)

This place is…. Nuts. The Tuna de Tigre was absolutely psychotic. Get it. Then we literally just could not stop eating maki rolls. I ate my body weight in sushi at this restaurant. Get the Torched Halibut, Mr. Tuna roll, Spicy Tuna, Hamachi, and anything that looks good from the specials. You cannot go wrong this food blew my mind. Atmosphere is laid back and approachable, and our server Jay was the best. He steered our ship to sushi heaven. I don’t know what I’m saying anymore but anyway go here.

Dietary restrictions: I have celiac disease and could pretty much have anything on the menu.
