4% kitchen appreciation fee not disclosed on the food menu. Food was crazy expensive as well. Service was slow. Nice interior.

Potato salad, Aburi Toro maki, blackbeard’s revenge, miso caramel ice cream toastie 💓 japanese potato salad is crazy good, and you cannottttt pass up the aburi toro special roll. Especially if you are there during happy hour on a week day!!! Crazy good sushi spot

I’m downgrading my original 5-star review. This was our fourth time dining at Mr. Tuna this year — and it’ll be our last.

We’ve even overlooked past missteps — like the “all-dressed-up scallops” that arrived completely bare, sashimi-style, despite the menu describing them as seasoned — or the stale, chewy salmon skin — because the tuna was worth it. But last night was disappointing on multiple fronts.

First, they changed the menu (from just five days ago) to force you into ordering chutoro only as part of a combo with other fish we don’t enjoy. Second, they’ve started enforcing a $65 per person minimum, even though they weren’t offering their usual high-quality otoro or even uni. In the end, they did not enforce the minimum, but it took three rounds of back and forth with the staff, and it definitely didn’t feel like they wanted to make it right. The whole experience felt off, and frankly, we don’t see ourselves making the drive up here again.

On previous visits, we gladly ordered three rounds of otoro for two, along with appetizers and drinks — often spending well over $100 per person. We even brought visiting family here to share what we thought was a special experience. But it’s clear now: they’ve grown too arrogant to value loyal customers, and they’ve made it obvious that our business is no longer welcome.

Literally the only reason I come to Portland. Incredibly fresh and delicious sushi.

The quality and freshness of the fish cannot be beat! Even the simplest of rolls melts in your mouth.

I went here over a month ago and haven't stopped thinking about it. I've had sushi a few times since (not from mr tuna) and it was terrible compared to the absolute perfection I experienced at my dinner weeks back. It's safe to say you've ruined sushi for me, Mr tuna. Also, I now actually like tuna (didnt prior to visit) ??? Anyways... go here you won't regret it 💖

This is a must if you’re in Portland. The ambiance and design in here is perfect. The presentation and food was great, fresh, and well balanced. I got the spicy tuna, salmon toro, and tuna tataki hand roll which was the best one. The guava ice cream toastie is actually insane. Love it here will be back

Really loved eating fresh, sustainable seafood in our rolls! Such a great experience and came highly recommended as we passed through Portland

Unfortunately, my experience here wasn’t great. The portions were very small for how expensive everything was, which was already disappointing. On top of that, I got food poisoning after eating the scallop hand-roll. However, the staff was very friendly, which I appreciated—but overall, the food quality and value just didn’t measure up.

This was the best sushi I have had in a long time. The tuna is fresh and delicious. It melts like butter in your mouth. Every dish was excellent! Each bite was fresh and flavorful. Make sure to order hot tea as it comes in whole loose leaf and compliments the food.

This place is amazing! Make sure to get the tuna de tigre! The flavors are SO yummy! The ambiance is cute and simplistic and the service was really good! Can’t wait to go back!

Very fresh and tasty. Not life changing but a good sushi meal. The halibut roll was the best. Our server was very kind.

Over service and good atmosphere. Best miso soup with lots of ingredients. Everything was good.

This is for a takeout meal, which was really good. The menu is diverse but focused of course on tuna specialties. The Mr Tuna Maki was superb. Othe maki's such as halibut, crab and scallop were very good. The Super Crunch Burrito was a little less exciting but tasty and good size. A solid 4.5.
