First time trying Bulgarian breakfast. The patatas bravas and Shakshuka were great! Highly recommended

This quaint cafe is pheNOMenal. Their Balkan style dishes are absolutely delicious and such a refreshing perspective to rival the more abundant American breakfast options in Portland. Try the Bulgarian Shakshuka for a mouth watering red pepper and tomato brunch stew with poached eggs and toast, or the Kyufte for a hearty well seasoned brunch meatball with eggs and salad. I always start the meal with some Mekitsi, a trio of perfectly balanced fried honey bread filled with feta and topped with fresh fruit. If you have someone in your group who prefers the classics, they also have tasty Belgian waffles and breakfast Sammies. However, I implore new customers to try the more cultural meals, which do a fantastic job of capturing Eastern European brunch flavors. The owners are also a wonderful couple. Will be a loyally returning patron anytime I am in Portland.

Avoid the avocado toast, the other food was good. It might have been a bad day, but the avocado was black and they forgot to toast the bread. The staff was friendly but busy.

My first time trying Bulgarian food and I loved it here. The food was incredible and the service was perfect. The sheep feta, kyufte, and the spreads are all must-tries. Will absolutely be back.

New favorite spot in Portland! As a vegetarian there was plenty of options for me. We ordered shakshuka, kyufte and eggs, waffles, and loaded veggies and eggs. Everything was amazing, flavorful and delicious! Down to the butter and toast. Service was exceptional and atmosphere is very cute. Can't wait to come back :)

Very cute cafe with a wonderfully balanced menu.
The kyufte is very good and I like that the kyufte and eggs comes with a salad. The pepper sauce is a nice touch.
The shakshuka is nice as well, it tastes very much like chilli than other shakshukas I’ve had. The chai latte is unsweetened which I enjoyed.
Nice spot for an easy breakfast in Portland.
