Amazing pizza but the prices are now crazy. Three 3 topping pizzas and the bill was nearly $125. Their pizza is very, very good but that price is outrageous.
Their pizza is very tasty (one of the few good NY styles around), but their recent price increases are outrageous. I'm completely aware and sympathetic to rising prices of everything, but $25 for a cheese and $29 for a large pepperoni pizza is not even close to what other local pizza restaurants are charging. I'd like support them, but I cannot justify paying those prices when I can go to any other pizza place that has lower costs and often more substance to their pizza. This isn't a knock on the actual product, but a comment that their pricing is no longer market competitive.
Pizza in this city is as ubiquitous as cannabis stores. Having that beeb said, if you're going to do pizza, do it differently.and better. Pizzaiolo does both. The crust is great because they bake the pie on this metallic mesh thing. It makes the crust sturdy and not cardboard like some pizzerias. The pizza is nothing with a bomb a$$ sauce. This pizza has it!Also, Hailee was attentive and made my first experience with this place worth coming back to.I can't wait to come back to play some pool because they have a pool table!
It was good. But I spent $50 and got 6 chicken tenders and a TINY almost personal sized pizza. I was shocked when I picked it up. I could have gotten a dinner for 2 downtown in a delicious hip restaurant for that price. I will def never go back. There are other pizza places with similar quality for way more affordable prices.
I’m sorry. We used to like the downtown Pizzaiolo - one of the only “NYC slices” you could find here. But we paid $37 + tax and tip for a single large cheese pizza here. And I’m not sure there is any scenario in which that is okay for pizza…I honestly don’t think we will go back because of it.
Stopped in for first time. Had a couple slices. Very good. Love the sauce and crunch. Tack on couple beers for good measure. Great price. Definitely be back.
Penelope was are server she was excellent and was very polite and attentive. She is a great server. ? I ordered spaghetti and meatballs, hard to find a good plate around here thus I'm from New York. It was great. Real meatballs. Beautiful. I went to brunos with high hopes, what a disappointment. If you want a real Italian plate. Come here.
I have tried pretty much every pizza spot in Portland, and I have to say Pizzaiolo has to be my favorite so far. The crust is absolutely perfect. Not too thick, not to thin, and they know what it means when you say crispy or well done.I was also very impressed with the quality of cheese and the sauce that they use. I ordered a hamburger, bacon, and mushroom pie, and the toppings were done perfectly as well. There are a lot of places in Portland doing pizza these days, but if you’re looking for a genuine NY style pie, Pizzaiolo is definitely your spot.I haven’t ordered a pie from anywhere else since I tried this place ???
I'm honestly not sure if I will give this place another go. The price of the pizza was about 5$ more than Otto's and similar in taste(which was quite good). The crust was real hard and crunchy though(maybe an anomaly considering the other pictures of Pizza I've seen?), so that was a bit unappealing. If the owner reads this, please update your website. I saw you had cheesecake for 5$ so I ordered that. When I got there I was told it was "worth the 10$". For one slice? Nah, I can buy 4 slices at that price from the store. I spent the money but wish I had refused it instead.I saw they had a bar and pool table. Don't know if any other pizza place with that. So there's a plus.
Great pizza and great service from our waitress Hailey. We enjoyed the sun on the deck!!

Stellar comes to mind, but it's better than that! The pizza is amazing, sure, with pulled pork and BBQ chicken on the pies, how can you go wrong!? This place is more than just great food though; it's a great experience. Trivia Tuesday nights, Karaoke Wednesday nights, and the prices at the bar kept me there all night. Seriously great drink deals. I sang karaoke, had two slices of world class pizza, four beers, played darts, and had a great time all for around $25. It doesn't get much better than that!
This place is ONLY good for pizza, nothing else, don’t try place order different like pasta or subs you will be disappointed !
Not safe for black people/poc. They will racially profile you and then say that you are playing the ‘race card’. Especially the bartender Nicky. They will kick out any black woman because another black woman(who looks nothing like her) got into a fight there before. Proceed with caution if you are black or a person of color. Plus the staff is drunk, very unprofessional.
I really enjoy this place. The pizza is great, crispy and good ingredients. Alcohol prices are reasonable if you want a pitcher or two of beer.
We have been there many times. The first through the seventh visit was awesome. Unfortunately, the service has gone downhill since.we are not sure why we always leave great tips. The food is awesome regardless, however, again today we had to wait 10 min for anyone to come to the table. The service like I stated has gone downhill many times now. We will not be back and I will no longer promote your establishmentThank you for the wonderful times before but no longerAmanda Johnson
