My favorite coffee shop/cafe in Portland. Really good self-serve coffee, and a nice place to hang out for a while, to work or meet with friends. Great pastry and food options, too. If I lived in Portland, this would be my go to place.

It’s a nice place to sit and eat when it’s not crowded. My friends drove 3 hours to hang out with us and wanted to repeat the fine experience we had there last year. The food was decent. But if you’re going and dining in, go when it’s not crowded. When it’s crowded, as with anyplace else that’s short staffed, you may end up waiting for your food for half an hour for your meal like my guests did. Also, there is a single unisex bathroom and people were poised to pounce on it after every use. When we asked for an update on our meal after 20 minutes the person said, “we’re really busy !“. Uh yeah. And I thought to myself, that’s the problem with tipping BEFORE you actually eat the meal and get served….it makes zero sense. We won’t be back.

Cute atmosphere, no AC, and service was nice. But the food was very lackluster. The eggs definitely came prepackaged and were over cooked. The biscuit was fluffy, not flaky and undercooked. Overall disappointing.

The atmosphere should get 6 stars. Good vibes here. Ownership and menu change up didn’t change how much I love this spot!

The location of this chic place is good, although you may have to hunt for parking. The food was very tasty, but a bit overpriced. The muffins, cookies, brownies etc in the front cases looked quite tasty, but again- a bit pricey for my taste. My breakfast was quite good, although the menu mentioned rosemary potatoes as being mashed. They weren't, but were excellent nonetheless. I liked the place, just not the prices...

Maine is amazing! The food in portland is delicious and the pottery cafe is no exception. Had a breakfast sandwich and it was well priced and plenty big to satisfy my hunger and leave me happy and satisfied!

Great spot but the new owners have changed the cheesecake to a sub par version. It’s why we went there. So sad. Please bring it back and we’ll be back!

Absolute best breakfast sandwich in town (The Brandon). Artsy and quaint cafe with a variety of freshly baked goods, unique pottery, and ample seating.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free and vegan options

As someone who eats gluten free, while i was eating the GF blueberry muffin i felt like i was eating something i wasn’t supposed to. It was BY FAR the BEST I have ever had and it has been a struggle for my whole life to find good food! this is the best cafe I have ever been to and the environment feels like home. Some pottery is for sale and it is truly a wonderful little place! I will be back when I am in the area!!!!Dietary restrictions: Very good gluten free options!

This place has changed. The breakfast menu has been vastly reduced in the past year or so, you can take a look at old review photos and see the difference. Very limited options now, especially if you don't eat meat, and not the great breakfast I remembered. I had stodgy "power toast" served on tough store bought bread where neither the coconut or almond were toasted as described. Still a nice quiet place to sit down but the food is no longer worth a visit. The cakes also looked much, much smaller and more basic.Vegetarian options: Limited

Delightful from scratch food that makes you happy for breakfast! Gluten free GOOD bread for toast and a lovely house jam that I wanted to eat with a spoon. Vegetarian options for omelets so I could order without worrying about being pork poisoned.

Prior review is spot-on; the so-called tofu scramble was not scrambled tofu but rather a collection of (turmeric?) spiced tofu cubes mixed into a (thankfully tasty) blend of pickled veggies. The avocado toast order was OK but not a standout for the $.

The tofu scramble was cubed tofu mixed with some veggies and potatoes. It was completely lacking any flavor at all. For $14 they could have scrambled the tofu. The toast and jam was good. We never got our side of home fries. We ended up getting our money back to go somewhere else.

Friendly, low-key vibe at this cafe. Tasty food with lots of options and excellent baked goods. Line went quickly & food didn't take long to arrive.

It’s a very cute pottery cafe. We didn’t try the food but decaf coffee was good. They have plenty of seating inside. I liked all the pottery items. Food and dessert looked good. We will try it next time.
