This is based on only one visit fwiw. I got the crab Benedict bc crab cake Benedict is my favorite meal. It was pretty good, not a lot of crab, good sauce, not worth the price imo. The home fries were excellent. I told the server that I was very thirsty and drank a lot of fluids and sat at the bar with the servers right in front of me and still had to ask for two refills, including when she brought the check and could obviously see my empty glass. I had arrived early afternoon...
This diner is a hidden gem! Well, to us 'out of towners,' it was a nice surprise. We almost headed into downtown Portland, but came upon this treat instead. The food is delicious, with generous portions, and the service is fast and friendly. The nostalgic decor, complete with vintage signs and retro touches, transports you back in time. This is definitely a great spot to grab breakfast. I highly recommend it!
We had breakfast at the Q Street Diner twice on our trip to Portland, Maine, and it was great. If we ever make it back to Portland, we'll visit them again. The breakfast is much better than what you can get for free at a hotel!
