Horrible service! Food is way over priced! Would not recommend. Waitress would not split up our checks and told us we had to figure it out ourselves!

Fish and chips were spot on. The fish was huge and cooked perfectly. Great value. The fries were tasty too.

First off the window seat upstairs was amazing, it went downhill after that. The waiter was very nice and quickly brought our drinks. However, the drinks had tequila and were watered down. Could not even taste it. Ordered a salad that never showed up. Dinner came and the fish and chips was delicious. However, the Irish chicken curry was disgusting. We could not find our waiter because he was behind the bar hanging out with the cute waitress, and I had to go up to him to add more food to our order. Nice young lady brought us the rest of our meal, and the waiter was still nowhere to be found. After waiting about 20 minutes for the check, he finally showed up. I was very disappointed because I had high expectations for the restaurant, save your money and spend it elsewhere because there are definitely better options in that area.

Great location! Our waiter was attentive. The spinach artichoke dip is delicious! The burger was good but a bit over-cooked. Their drinks are decent. It’s a little pricey but I enjoy the atmosphere so much and being right down town!

Cozy spot with many food and drink options. We sat by the fire and had Guinness with Irish breakfast, couldn't beat it!

Love that you can get a cozy Irish pub feel for drinks at the bar to the right and upscale Irish restaurant to the left. Went in March during restaurant week but I can see this place on the water getting very busy in the summer. Had Harp and Smithwicks on tap so we had those with dinner. Crab cake for appetizer was so good. Good portions for all three courses. Had shepherd pie and chicken and dumplings for mains. Friend said their brown Irish soda bread was the best she's ever had. In large chicken dish they only had 3 small dumplings. Asked for a few more and was charged for it. Just a heads up. Finished with the carrot cake because their baileys cheese cake was sold out. It was still very good!

Production bar comes to mind to describe here. Bartenders are so busy that there's is no time to be nice or kind. They have to get the drinks out. No one on the team Smiled. The Bartenders became inpatient if you were slow to order. Had the bangers and mashed. It was fair. Not a great experience. You have other options.I would not go back.

First time visit to Ri Ra Irish Pub after walking by it hundreds of times on the way to the ferry. It's Maine Restaurant Week and they had a three course meal for $45 per person so we decided to try it. The menu gave us some nice options and the ambience of the restaurant upstairs was cozy and warm. Fire going in the fireplace, big comfy couches to sit with a drink and the view of the ferry canal below was special. I got the crab cake appetizer, my husband the beet salad. My crab cakes tasted full of crab and my husband ate every morsel of the beet salad. The Guinness Beef Pot Pie had a deep, rich flavor that warmed our insides on this cold, rainy night. Our waiter had the entire upstairs by himself, but kept a great smile, attitude, and good service the whole time. Dessert was a Bailey's Cheesecake topped with strawberry compote on a chocolate cookie crunch crust! Delicious. As we were leaving the Ri Ra Pub below was hosting trivia night, which means we will be back for the food and to win trivia night. Great first visit(thanks #mainerestaurantweek) and can't wait to try their Rueben next visit!

The food has always been very good at Ri Ra. Last night I was really impressed by the Irish chicken from the Restaurant Week menu. I'm having the leftovers for lunch now and really hope this dish stays on the regular menu! It's so good!

As a local, this is one of my favorite spots to stop by for a Guinness, and sometimes a munchie, which my buddy and I did tonight. The poutine is extraordinary and, as we sat at the bar before catching the ferry home, so is Ashanti. He's attentive with a giving and generous spirit. Ri Ra has been a go to place for 10 years now and, 99% of the time, a great place to be, visit, and meet new people.

This is authentic Irish. It's small, cozy, and has a great atmosphere. There's a fireplace that's roaring on those cold winter days in downtown Portland. The drinks are pretty good for that happy hour crowd, and the setup is casual. It's a good place to meet up for a couple of drinks.
