Delicious and creative food - very flavorful! Good bar. Helpful service. Comfortable setting.
My three friends and I loved this experience. The creative food was tasty and filling. We were full with three small plates especially since the fried chicken (not what you would expect) was a substantial portion. The waiter was very helpful, and helped me with my choice of orange (yes) wine from a local vineyard. $55 a head with for drinks and yummy bread. Definitely recommend it..
Fun cocktails, friendly service, and tasty plates! Scallops ceviche and octopus were highlights.
Incredible food. The crab rice, the tamale, the cabbage. Outrageously good. Cocktails were perfect. Service was lovely. Can't wait to return!
Quite possibly the best restaurant I have ever dined at. I was looking for something different to celebrate our anniversary and Regards was the place. Small plates to share is all they do. No more wishing you ordered what the other person did. They recommend 4-6 plates for 2 people and 4 was perfect for us. We started with diver caught scallop ceviche which had a nice acidic bite to it. Paired perfectly with the Motivator and LA Nights cocktails both wish are Mezcal and citrus. Our second course was grilled octopus in a spicy sauce. Never had octopus before but wanted to channel my inner Somebody Feed Phil Rosenthal and go do it. So glad we did it was very good. It's been 24 hrs and I am still thinking about that dish. Another round of cocktails. Dish three was the coffee rub fried chicken. At first feeling fancy we started with fork and knives but quickly humbled ourselves and ate with our hands. Everything was well flavored and cooked just right. Our last dish was the miso short ribs and greens. Again cooked to perfection. Sadly we were too full for desert I really wanted the tortilla blueberry ice cream. A reason to come back. Overall very impressed with Regards and we will be back. Thankfully it's only 2 miles from our house. If you are looking for something different to celebrate a special occasion or just splurge with friends this is the place to go to. 10/10 would recommend.
Regards never fails to be a great experience. Menu is constantly changing and I have at least one life changing item every time I visit, this time it was the chicken wings stuffed with chorizo with an amazing sauce that you whipped an egg yolk into. Unforgettable. Environment is always friendly, warm, and intimate, and the yummy high quality drinks always help. Can't wait to be back.
One of Portland’s Best Hidden Gems!
Hands down, this is one of the most underrated restaurants in Portland. The menu is incredibly creative, and the ingredients are thoughtfully combined in ways that truly surprise you. Every dish we ordered was mind-blowing in its own unique way — it felt like a journey of flavor from one delightful surprise to the next. I highly recommend trying this place when you’re in Portland — it’s absolutely worth it!
The only item that didn’t quite hit the mark for us was the dessert, the sweet potato. It wasn’t bad by any means, but after being spoiled by the brilliance of the previous dishes, we were expecting something equally inventive. Instead, it was quite literally a sweet potato covered in chocolate and nuts — decent, but not up to par with the rest of the menu’s creativity.
Service-wise, things could have been a bit warmer. Our server seemed disengaged — understandably, no one loves working on Halloween night, and we didn’t expect over-the-top cheerfulness, but the interaction felt unusually cold. When I thanked her for refilling my water, she just walked away without a word, which felt a little off.
That said, the food itself was so exceptional that we’ll definitely be back to explore more of the menu. Highly recommended overall!

Everything was delicious; so many interesting flavors! Especially loved the Macadamia mole tamales, and the strip lounge tartar. Fun to try different mezcals.
We had an amazing time at Regards. Service was wonderful, we sat at the bar with Jordan and he was kind enough to go through the menu items with us and answer questions about allergies. I have celiac and almost all of the menu was available to me! This chef is doing some INCREDIBLY innovative things with food and every single bite we had was delicious and like nothing we'd ever had before. We came on what seemed to be a slower night but there should be a line out the door every single night here. If you love a great meal with good vibes, put Regards on your Portland list. You will not regret it.
Delicious! Go here! Make that reservation! The food is transportive and evokes emotions through your taste buds and memories. This is poetry for your senses.

We felt disconnected from some of the very negative reviews we read. Our server, Neville, was very cordial, informative and helpful in guiding us, plus efficient. We had no delays in service and loved all of our 5 choices which came spaced our in time nicely. The restaurant was full and yet they kept our service going well.
Lovely staff, good service, nice ambience. Not every dish was a hit; some were more "interesting" than delicious. The peekytoe crab with black rice, for example, was ambitious but too salty (I thought) and the flavors did not quite come together in harmony. I will probably return, with foodie friends, but it won't be my go-too night out spot...
Some of our favorite dishes of our trip were the Scallop Crudo and the Tamale with the the White Macadamia Nut Mole.
Innovative cuisine. Excellent food quality and presentation. Knowledgeable staff. My guests and I enjoyed it thoroughly.
extremelyinnovatuve cuisine, unexpected touches such as Burrata with herbs and tomatillo salsa, do not miss the desserts
