REGARDS is an amazing restaurant with unique dishes that I have never seen before. Where else can you get hamachi collar? Everything we ordered, from the burrata with salsa verde and country bread to the tamale with macadamia mole was balanced, delicious, and special. I wish I had more time in Portland to eat there again. The staff is also very friendly and knowledgeable. I let them know that my wife was vegetarian when making the reservation and the hostess noted all the dishes that were vegetarian and what could be modified. A very beautiful place. I'm grateful that I knew about it

Everything at this restaurant was fantastic…Every dish was unique and something you see mire often in NYC, west coast or Europe.… We were a group of five so got to try many dishes. Potions are appropriate for tapas style dishes.
The whole evening was truly a magical experience. I look forward to returning.

I had the most amazing meal in recent memory at Regards last night. Every dish was unique and delicious. We got the avocado, a scallop ceviche, the peekytoe crab rice, and short rib tacos. Each one of these was prepared in a truly original way and with such care that it felt unlike any other meal I’ve had. Highly recommend for a special occasion!

All the food was a solid 5 except for the short ribs. Loved the oysters, tamales, and tostada! My wife loved and was very happy with her tuna jaw. The chocolate cake was delicious and very unique. Never had that flavor profile before!
The only weak point was my short ribs. Weakness #1, they forgot about them. I had to ask where they were about 15 minutes after my wife had been served her collar. It took about 30 minutes after my wife was served before my beef arrived. Weakness #2, IMHO, was the serving size was a bit small for a $60 dish, especially with the price and size of my wife's tuna jaw. Lastly, the flavor was just ok. I found the mole to be a bit salty for me. All three issues knocked me down from a 5 start love fest with Regards.
TL;DR. Come to Regards, enjoy everything. Do not order the short ribs!

Food was good, service was terrible. It was very apparent that kids are not welcome. Not welcoming at all. Didn't have high chairs.
I've followed Regards and looked forward to eating there for years. I've learned over time to temper my expectations for highly anticipated dinners and to keep an open mind, especially with small and independent restaurants who are trying to be thoughtful and ambitious. For the first time in a while, I found myself really blown away by the dining experience of this small restaurant and I'd say it exceeded my every expectation! Everything was impressively well balanced, thoughtfully plated and delicious. I was really impressed by the timing of our dinner, the speed of the coursing encouraged us to try different dishes together and to dip our generous serving of tostadas in the many different delightful sauces featured on each plate. We finished our meal with the bone in short rib, served simply with mole and tortillas. I approached this dish with the mindset that it's probably a safe bet for the kitchen from a preparation and cost perspective. I destroyed the short rib, enjoying every last bite, and later found out it was the first day for this dish on the menu! I found that quite impressive, as it is difficult to pull off cooking a perfect braise and presenting it as beautifully while maintaining an excellent texture. This goes to show that the true talent of this kitchen is humbly masked by simple, thoughtful, presentation with an emphasis on depth of flavor. I hope to dine at Regards again soon in the future.
Cool place to go. Good for a date night with small shareable plates, and it's served in courses which is really cool. I tried octopus and a couple other things for the first time which was neat, and they were well prepared and tasty but the menu as presented just kinda feels a little try-hard. Our server was great though! 10/10 for answering questions and the experience.

We have loved Regards each of the three times we've been there. We brought friends last night who also loved it. The food is always unique with so much flavor. It's one of our favorites in the Portland area and never disappoints.
Very unique menu. We did a sampling of items for the four of us to share and enjoyed everything. Staff are very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu
The food was decent but the experience was tainted by the staff. I felt like we were an inconvenience to everyone that we spoke to.
