Gone downhill. We went once a year for over 10 years and always were over the top excited about the mussels. They were one of my top 2 favorite places that I've EVER had mussels. They used to be filled with such an incredible flavorful pistachio butter and an amazing artisan bread. You can't even taste that it's a pistachio butter now, and it completely lacks in flavor altogether. They don't serve the bread with it either, which made it such a wonderful enhancement. Now you get the mainstream focaccia. The calamari was good enough but the smallest portion of calamari that I have EVER seen, and we order it everywhere we go. The Ribollita was decent and the Hearts of Romaine w/Pancetta, Gorgonzola & Walnuts was so bland. You would think it would be filled with flavor, but it had none. I can honestly say we would not go back.

Always one of my favorite meals in Portland! The coziest lovely feel and freshest food. So delicious and you know it’s homemade with care. Every single dish I’ve tried from here was out of this world! I recommend to anyone who enjoys Italian food, good service, and a nice time!

Wonderful warm atmosphere, service and food. I’m a local and this place is a gem. Recommend it to everyone visiting
A really wonderful experience in every way. The Italian wines are great.
From the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for something special. But what truly elevated our experience was our phenomenal waitress, Linea. Her professionalism, warmth, and deep knowledge of the menu were unmatched. I had a simple request—no cheese—and without hesitation, she ensured my meal was prepared exactly as I wanted, all while making me feel valued and heard.
But let’s talk about the food. Flawless. Spectacular. A symphony of flavors that transported me straight to culinary heaven. Every bite was a masterpiece, bursting with authenticity and crafted with care. You can tell that this restaurant takes pride in delivering not just a meal, but an experience—one that engages all the senses.
And the service? Let’s just say I’m metaphorically (and almost literally) doing a triple backflip out of pure joy! The perfect balance of attentiveness and genuine hospitality made us feel right at home.
I’ll be raving about this place to anyone who will listen, and trust me—I will absolutely be back. If you haven’t been here yet, do yourself a favor and make a reservation. You’ll thank me later!
Wonderful food, atmosphere and service. Great pricing as well. Highly recommend
Decided to eat here on a whim on a Friday winter night. Both servers on were excellent and had no problem accommodating a table for one. My meal was delicious, well seasoned, affordable, and the perfect portion sizes. Not too big, not too small. Definitely a spot I can see being fun for a romantic date with the dim lighting and candle lighting. Just what I needed!
Wondrously delicious food, and I recommend the mussels and the shellfish fettuccine with the Cataldi Madonna Montepulciano D’Abruzzo. We’ve been here countless times and always look forward to the next!
Very Convivial!
Best Italian in Portland by far! Intimate and authentic. Great wine selection. Chef is very accommodating.

Incredible food and fantastic service. We are definitely going back. We shared 3 desserts, all amazing, and the flan was out of this world delicious.

Great place. Service was really great. The plate I got was mostly great, and came out nice n hot. Would've appreciated the pasta to not be overcooked as it was a bit. The tiramisu was definitely not good, otherwise would've given more stars. I'm not picky with tiramisu (realizing there's fair amount of versions), but this one wasn't at all good, 2 bites and no more, not sure if it was off or something but sad at $10 for a slice of cake.
