20 min wait after food was suppose to be right eady with little to no customers in store. Doesn’t seem like they train enough for everyone to be on the same page. Employees took smoke breaks while they should’ve been getting ahead of their tickets.

Unreal sandwich — as messy as it is good. The North Shore didn’t stand a chance; I absolutely dummied it. Friendly staff, beer on tap, and a chill setup with a few tables but mostly bar seating and standing room. Never ate 8 ounces of beef so fast in my life. If you’re in Portland and craving a proper sandwich, Roasty’s is a must.

Absolutely incredible three way sandwich and the staff was really friendly!! The chef asked us how the beef was personally and that just really gave it a downhome feel

great sandwiches, I live across the street and got bothered by the bright sign and just bought curtains for my window instead of causing an issue 10/10
Can’t wait to go back!!! I ordered the north shore three way with a side of horseradish and a pickle for lunch and was blown away by the quality for the price. I’ve had similar sandwiches in the area, but you can tell Roasty’s has gone above and beyond to hand-pick each ingredient for the perfect sandwich.
Meat was tender and juicy, bbq sauce was flavorful and not overly sweet, and the bread was fresh, flavorful, and held up to the weight of the sandwich ingredients without falling apart unlike similar sandwiches I’ve had. In my opinion, most sandwich places don’t focus on the bread enough and it’s disappointing to get a great sandwich on lackluster bread/rolls.
My partner doesn’t eat beef and really wanted fries, but I ordered salt and vinegar chips instead of fries by mistake. A staff member must have overheard because they brought out a side of fries for us. We were super touched by this!! So nice!
Vibe inside was very clean and chill. Perfect place to stop in mid-day or for a late-night bite.
Excited to go back and try more menu options, especially the breakfast.
If I could change one thing about the…
Sandwich - Meat could be cut to slightly smaller pieces, so it’s easier to take a smaller bite.
Fries/chips - Too salty! Otherwise the seasoning and the fry was on point.

Just had the best Philly cheesesteak I’ve had in years. Highly recommended Roasty’s man that took my order was very respectful and had a good story to go along with steak Italiano. Excited to get back and try some other sandwiches

I visited Roasty's for the first time, since I have passed by the place so many times. I tired their Philly Cheese Steak, which was grilled Roast Beef with garlic sauce, onions, and cheese. After a couple of bites, I was so happy as how great the sandwich was! As I sat there waiting for my order, I appreciated the atmosphere and the friendly staff...but service was definitely slower than it should have...which was a bother to me because I was the only customer there.
Yet, food wise...the sandwich was excellent...meat cooked to perfection, garlic sauce, onions and cheese were superb...they give you great amounts of meat in the sandwich! great from start to finish.
My only criticism of the sandwich....the garlic sauce needed more flavor and a few more onions placed in the sandwich.
I would recommend that people check out this sandwich shop for a satisfying roast beef sandwich and good atmosphere!

The staff was super friendly and the sandwich was alright, however the fries are completely inedible. imagine getting a big plate of crispy fried onions, they were hard and crumbled to dust when i tried to eat them. Would probably make a great topping for green bean casserole but i can’t imagine a way to eat them as they are. bummer considering they aren’t cheap

Cool roast beef place. We got the beef on weck. Not as good as the Buffalo original but ok.
Total fail on the shoestring fries. Ditch them and go with a regular fries of any kind.
George & Leon is little better.

Go to your corner store and buy a $2 bag of Lays potato chips and save yourself $10 bucks. Most ridiculous “French fry” concept I’ve ever seen. Very disappointing to say the least.

I ordered Roasty's takeout when I spent an unexpected extra night in Portland. The salt ans vinegar shoestring potatoes are delectable! I also had their take on a N.J. sloppy joe and it was pretty close! The roast beef is tender and flavorful. I will be stopping here next time I am in town!

Way overpriced for dry and chewy roast beef and their fries are not fries at all just tiny shavings of potatoes that are too small to pick up.
