Bartender Mikey is excellent. I had two sparkling drinks and he actually recommended great restaurants very attentive to all the other customers I would recommend to work even in an upscale restaurant.!
So I am a local here and have been to this place twice. The same thing happened both times. The first time I came here with my friend and we both ordered food and a drink. Both separate orders. They brought our drinks and my friend got her food. It wasn’t until 15 minutes later when she was already done eating they brought my food out. They said they forgot about it. My eggs were cold when they came out and I was a little annoyed because I went out to eat so I could eat with the person I came with… but they gave me a free latte for an apology and all was fine. Now today I came here by myself. Ordered a drink and food. Lo and behold. I get my drink. 10 minutes go by and people who have ordered after me are getting their food. I had to go up to the host stand and ask if my food was coming. They were asking me what I ordered and what my number is and that they forgot it. HOW I mean HOW are you a restaurant that “FORGETS” to bring someone their order. Great food and coffee but their service is just not acceptable to me. Hope they can get a better system going or something, because can you not “forget” my 20 dollar egg breakfast? Because when I pay 20 dollars for some eggs, I don’t really want them in the back getting cold for them to never get to me. Super weird it’s happened twice in a row.
Great brunch alternative, especially if you tried to go to Becky’s and it was too wild there. Great menu and the coffee is exceptional. What really really set this place apart is that the Jam they make here might be the best jam I’ve ever had. It’s truly next level, tried to buy it, but they make it fresh here lol
We ate here twice for breakfast and ordered the same thing both times—smoked salmon toast and the bacon, egg & cheese sandwich. That should tell you how good it was! The vibe is spot on—warm, welcoming, and bustling with energy. If you visit on a Saturday morning, be prepared to wait a bit; the line moves quickly, and it’s absolutely worth it.
On our last day, the manager personally came out to check on us and recommended their Salt Yard Latte. He brought one out for us to try, and let me tell you—if you're a fan of caramel, this almond milk latte is a must. Smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced.
Highly recommend this spot for breakfast or brunch!

Mikey is the BEST of the BEST! He’s so sweet and makes the best cocktails ever! We are heading to dinner and will be right back! Thank you Mikey, you’ve spoiled us rotten! Xx

The line was long but Kenzie was a cheerful delight.
My fiancé and I tried this as our last stop on our way home to Philadelphia. We were so sad we only got it once! The coffee was creamy and delicious and we split a great breakfast sandwich with potatoes. We will be back!
We came to Portland for a bachelorette party and rolled into Salt Yard 9 people deep, everyone was so welcoming and set us up with a big table even though it was a little busy. They immediately offered our bride a Bloody Mary on the house. Kenzie took our order, she was so patient and kind with us. It wasn’t on the menu, but they allowed me to order the eggs Benedict with lobster (insanely delish). The salt yard latte is a must, the waffles were also perfectly done. Highly recommend, don’t be scared off if you walk in and see a line, everything moved very quickly!
Good coffee and tea, got the Lobster Benedict, toast was burnt, Egg poached to long but it was still tasty.

We were on a weekend in nearby Maine when we realized North Conway was closer than the restaurant's in our town so we head over knowing how great this place was from a previous visit. They did not disappoint, service was excellent and the food was great again! Loved it!

I got the chorizo + potato skillet and it was soooo yummy. Highly recommend this place. The latte I had was also really good quality! My friends and I shared the chocolate croissant and it was so flaky.

Special thanks to Abigale, friendly staff, and helpful management, we've had a great time at this conveniently located coffee shop / bistro at the entrance of the Canopy Hilton Hotel.
