We ordered catering for 25 people from Salvatore’s and man, did they deliver!!! the food was fantastic. We got the sandwich platter, antipasto platter (beautiful and delicious!), veggie lasagna, and panzanella salad. everyone was happy. whenever i need catering they’re going to be my go-to from now on.

Wellllllll
I live down the road and had been hearing about the secret giant sandwich shop that has a space in Howies for a while and of course I had to check it out.
The lady making my sandwich?
Super duper nice.
Would I go back again?
Probably not.
I’d say my steak sub was just so so, and while being absolutely massive… definitely a spectacle… It wasn’t worth the 30 bucks.
Maybe I’ll try again one more time. I don’t mind spending the money but it just wasn’t financially proportionate to the food.

There is no doubt that this place makes excellent sandwiches. Best cheesesteak in town. For that reason, anything less than five stars would be blasphemy.
With that said, I do have some constructive criticism. Maybe the owner will see it and consider it? Who knows.
Basically, the sandwiches are massive and pricey. If I were the big dog in charge, I would offer a $20 cheesesteak that weighs 2 pounds instead of a $25 cheesesteak that weighs 3 pounds. I’m a big dude with a big appetite and it’s very hard to finish one of these bad boys. So you’ve got the $25 sandwich, you leave a 15% tip because that’s always nice ($3.75) and by the time you’re out the door with your takeout you’ve bought a $30 sandwich…. that’s very hard to finish. Great if you’re splitting it with someone, but hard for a solo lunch.
So that’s my hot take ! Make it a little smaller and sell it for 20 bucks and keep everything else the same. Three cheers for great food.

What a yummy hoagie!! Had the pleasure of eating a vegetarian hoagie while at Thompson’s point for a concert. Looking forward to stopping at the shop sometime soon!

The spot was a little hard to find but well worth the added effort! Order online and pickup in Howie’s pub. When we asked for a recommendation the owner/cook said it was hard to choose because “they’re all my babies” but eventually suggested the Italian and to come back for a cheesesteak, and we definitely will! It was so nice to see how much joy she takes in making such a great product! The hoagies were absolutely enormous and one of the best sandwiches we’ve had in a long time—well worth the price!

Best hoagies in New England. Authentic, tastes just like the hoagies I used to eat when I lived in NJ. Pretty much the ONLY place in Maine to get an actual cheesesteak. The bread is phenomenal. Huge portion size. Worth every penny.
If you're looking for an actual Italian sandwich, this is where you go. Period.
Everywhere else is just cold cuts on a hot-dog bun.

5 stars.
Bread was ok. Shop was out of pickles and forgot to put my tomatoes on my sandwich. I had a lettuce and onion and ham. Expensive for what it was we ordered 3 sandwiches and paid over $60. Probably won’t go back.

If there is one cheesesteak to rule them all, this is it. Better than Angelos in Philadelphia and Federovs in Brooklyn, New York. This is a muust try.

Had Salvatore's at the Iration concert at Thompson's Point. As someone that grew up outside of Philly but lives in the Midwest now, their hoagies are fire. A true taste of home!
These subs are the real deal. Had one at Thompsons Pt last night and was blown away by the quality and portion size. They didn't allow modifications but it didn't matter because their Italian recipe is perfectly balanced and has amazing bread. My wife loved that they use chopped sausage instead of whole pieces.

Incredible sandwich. The bread was soft and flavorful. I got the cutlet alla vodka and added the cherry pepper relish. It may be one of the best sandwiches I've had. Took me a bit to find it- it is inside Howie's bar. Also got some wings for my partner and they were great. Had the calabrian chili taste but still some buffalo flavor. Not fatty and well cooked.
