Scales is a must visit when in Portland for great New England seafood! The lobster bisque is made with a sweet potato base which is a little different from the traditional bisque. The scallops are delicious and the atmosphere is wonderful.

first off - food, the restaurant atmosphere and view of the water was perfect!!

& the service unlike anything i’ve ever seen! so great! I forgot my bag at the restaurant and do not live in maine - they are shipping my bag back free of cost - going out of there way to ship it but also no charge - really they care about their customers deeply and shown through this action.

go here!!!! will not be disappointed - can’t wait to visit again...

We were so fortunate to get a last minute reservation at Scales as we might not have otherwise made it here. Everything we got was delicious but the tuna crudo with chili crisp and the cloverleaf rolls were out of this world! Honestly the best raw tuna dish I think I've ever had. The service was also great and the atmosphere was great!
