Standard Baking Co. is a little gem in Portland 💛
From the moment you enter, the smell of freshly baked bread already wins you. Everything looks incredible, but the financier was something else... crispy on the outside, soft and buttery on the inside, with that almond flavor that leaves you in shock 😍
You can tell that they do everything with love and quality. The place has a calm vibe, perfect for a coffee and something sweet.
I would definitely come back just for that financier 🥹🔥
Probably the best bakery I’ve ever been to. Absolutely phenomenal through every item.
Love the selection and quality. Wish I didn't live in another state so I could come here every day.
If you love fresh baked goods, one of the best.
Great baked goods
had the sweetest experience here yesterday as a first timer, the only difficulty was choosing what baked goods to buy - they all looked so amazing! settled on a little pizza (it was so good and the perfect size for a quick lunch with room for dessert), a blueberry lemon tart, the world's most delicious olive roll, and a demi baguette that i ate over half of along with some cheese and jam for dinner later last night! small patio area for sitting, super kind staff, and very cute merch, too :)
Get there early!!!! RYE CHOCOLATE COOKIES????? Where have these been all my life?! Holy cow!!!!! Everything there is delicious!!!
A must-do when in Portland! I heard about Standard Baking on a Portland food tour a few years ago. This time I was in town with my daughter and could buy more than a scone or morning bun and coffee because we were headed to Sebago Lake for a week. Founded on a love of European baking and sourcing local ingredients, their baked goods are the real thing. I would like to try every bread and pastry they make!l There’s often a queue that moves quickly, but you can also order online on their website and pickup.
Loved everything about this amazing bakery!
It was a cold & windy walk home when i passed by Standard Baking Co and decided a hot coffe was needed. Of course, who could pass up a cookie or brownie to go along. I decided on the Raspberry Gallette and I am now addicted!!!! I either need to find an alternate route home...or add another 2 miles to walk off the extra calories! Thank you Standard Baking Co to finding the right the right reward for me keeping my new year resolution to add more activity to my day!

I was very surprised how big it looks on the outside. Then when I went in, no tables, no rest room, and no place to wait except outside in the elements if you’re meeting somebody. It was super crowded inside. The staff was efficient, but make sure you figure out what you want while you’re standing in line.
Parking: Unless you go on a Sunday you will pay to park if you can find a spot
Kid-friendliness: No place to sit if you want to give the kids a treat and no bathroom.
Wheelchair accessibility: You can get a wheelchair or stroller in the door, but very little space inside.

So much to choose from and I have enjoyed everything I have tried.
Got here at 1:00 PM. So, a few things are left to choose. Go in the morning to choose what they offer. No introduction needed as this is a popular bakery in Portland. I got a croissant which is crispy and so delicious. I had a small size hot coffee and which is good too. Will come back again next time. Highly recommend.
