While I was excited to finally go, the tuna tartar was exceedingly salty. When I mentioned this to our waiter, he seemed unconcerned. He also had a tendency to look distracted when speaking with us. One of my pet peeves is when I order the wine and he gives it to my husband to taste. Didn't ask who wanted to taste, just immediately gave it to him. Had the sole and it was very good. And the razor clams were excellent
Enjoyed our evening at Street & Company, as always. The two of us shared a fresh heirloom tomato salad, the swordfish, and the scallops. All were delicious. Topped it off with bourbon pecan pie and the rice pudding for dessert. We visit Portland once or twice a year, and Street & Company is always one of the highlights of the trip. Highly recommended.
Didn't get a good vibe from this place. There is a cocky attitude expressed by the staff. Server was matter of fact and provided the minimum level of service. One of the host told us “ you have the worst seat in the restaurant.” Food was good but not on same level with Scales. Perhaps the staff attitude had something to do with that.
