What a fantastic evening! Our server Julio (AKA Javier/Dru/MOUTHIE) was amazing. He made excellent drink and food recommendations, was friendly, funny and made the entire experience enjoyable. The food was DELICIOUS, atmosphere was lively. Highly recommend this place!
Parking: We parked at the Fore St Parking Garage and walked. Street has parking but was packed.

Appetizer was too big for one should have been told even though did not ask to share was brought a plate and charged extra for sharing WHAT! He took it off when It wasn’t shared but why would you serve appetizer big enough for 3-4 and then charge a share fee? Entree ordered was lobster tail received 2 around 3” were overcooked. I received three times the amount of lobster in a poor boy and it was tender and $5 bucks less. My companions steak was burned and her baked potato not cooked thru. We had a better meal at a pub and it was half the price.

First timer & they did not disappoint!!! The Chantrelle mushrooms fried in tempura is INSANE. I would eat 10 plates of them, this should be a constant menu item but as an entree!!!! Everything was delicious, we will be back! Great service, the waitress was so sweet. Excellent wine.

Very mediocre. Ribeye was overcooked and had some bizarre seasoning and the mashed potatoes had a medicinal taste. The waitstaff was lethargic and not eager to serve my family of 5, service was like that of a diner. Best menu item was the steak strip appetizer. My wife has a gluten allergy and when stated to the waiter he appeared to not care, and the subsequent food delivery indicated that fact did not move him (salad had bread on it). Surprising to see this touted as the best steakhouse in Portland.

Our waiter was the best most of us had ever experienced. He was knowledgeable, courteous, gracias and made sure we knew we were his priority. My friend did not like his mushroom dish. And to another, it was unclear that a particular drink was a mocktail. The table for 6 is loosely connected to its base, so the table was hard to steady: tough when there are full martini glasses on the table!
We had a wonderful evening celebrating Nana' s birthday at the Grill Room. Our waiter Huleo was incredible. What an asset to you team, he helped make our evening even more special. We look forward to our next gathering at the Grill.
The happy hour has some great drink deals. It runs from 4-6. You have an apps menu only. We each got the escargot (delicious ) and a wedge salad to share . Apps are meant to be shared , right? No where did we see there was a share charge. Bill came and $5 charge for splitting the salad ?!? What if we had split the app of goat cheese and bread? Aren't apps meant to share ?? Other than that service was great. Food was great. Great drink prices. Perfect on the patio.
Somewhat cramped seating in booth. Server was nice and attentive. Appetizer- tuna tartare- very good but chips were served with dry packets which was strange. A la carte items were extremely expensive once added up. Nice wine list.
As always the food and service was wonderful. I took my 11 year old and 17 year old for a birthday celebrationeal.ans we shared the mussels appetizer and tomahawk steak dish with some sides. The cocktails and mocktails were lovely and the birthday blackberry cheesecake slice a perfect ending. The service staff were knowledgeable and attentive. My only issue is that the restaurant came get a bit loud.

Was not aware they are a “wood fire” grill place. The bread with escargot was literally charred black, the filet mignon - charred black, ingested so much charred meat; they should call it filet carcinogens. Highly recommend if you are a fan of eating charcoal. The waiter was amazing though.
Server Claire was awesome. Super personable and great service. Everyone asked how things were and very attentive. Even the chef came and asked how everything was. Great place, everything prepared perfectly and will come back. Highly, highly recommend. Big portions too!

The menu is nicely balanced, and the depth of talent in the open kitchen is very deep. They boast a wood-burning oven where they roast mussels, among other items. The chef is passionate. He plates and sauces every creation himself. The ingredients are as local as possible, and the adult beverage menus are abundant and well-planned, cocktails, beer, wine and all...
Service is friendly, professional, polite, and diligent. The place is dimly lit for mood effect and comfort. It does tend to get very noisy, making it hard to talk and hear the music. It couldn't hurt to have sound dampeners in the ceiling. Still, it's a great place and I can't wait to go back!

To preface, I’ve never written a bad review. We arrived at 5:30 and were told there was no table and encouraged to sit at the bar. Our service was horrible, the people were rude, and the two filets that we paid $110 dollars for a la carte were overcooked and burnt. Not to mention we waited for over an hour for them. We ended up getting our food boxed and $240 dollars later, ate it in our hotel room because of how awful the service and general vibe was. Don’t recommend.
