The best place to try Oysters in Portland!

I loved the fact try you can try different types, super fresh with a fresh dressing on the side and very local place!! You can eat inside or outside.

One of my favs in Portland!!

Great place to stop by in Portland for fresh oyster selection at a very reasonable price. They dont offer many food selections besides oysters so plan for that. Overall we had a great time trying different oysters.

Spectacular. Delicious oysters, great variety, friendly patient people, and very reasonable prices. Walk-in only and they accommodated everyone beautifully. So glad I found this place! Kudos!

Wow! Best oysters! The type of oysters rotate so it’s fun to try the different ones. We went two days in a row and were able to try 10 different type of oysters.

Its just oysters for the most part. There arent a lot of options beyond that. I personally love oysters, but the rest of my party was underwhelmed. There was only curry mackerel spread as an alt option.
Also, This spot is a self order place- you fill out a paper menu order form with minimal descriptions, and take it inside. There isnt anyone you can really ask questions of about the oysters or other food options. They have food runners, but service is really just you. You want a drink? You get up and get another form, stand in line, pay- and they bring it out.

The outdoor patio is loud, and not very comfortable. Its cute, but not special. Prices are higher than needed here, especially considering the self serve setup.
This is not a place for families, its much more for the millennial, hipster, single crowd.

Very relaxed environment, order at the counter. Great beer selection. Amazing oysters! We loved the deviled egg dip. I’ve been here on my last two trips to Portland and it’s becoming a must stop!

Great counter service place for oysters!
Reasonably priced, incredibly fresh, relatively cheap drinks.
Will come back

We’re always on the hunt for dollar oysters, but at $1.95 each, this place is unmatched. Few spots can compete with their focus on quality over quantity.

This will forever be our go-to spot for oysters whenever we’re in Maine, and we hope it never changes. In our opinion, this is hands down the best combination of quality and value for oysters in all of New England

We happened to randomly stumble upon this oyster bar and we absolutely loved the food! The oysters were incredibly fresh and after ordering an initial order, we had to go back for seconds! The Saltwind oysters from the Scarborough River were my personal favorite, but all of them were great. Definitely recommend ordering the Dressed Oysters too!

Amazing, briny, delicious oysters!!! Six different types of oysters to choose from. We sat outside on the patio with our dog... wet and a bit chilly but love bringing the pup along! Oysters were A+, up there with the best of my life...BUT the prosecco was so flat it looked like chardonnay and the beer, Austin Street pilsner, was mediocre at best. Portland has so many great beers but that wasn't one of them. Otherwise, a wonderful experience for $2 an oyster!

Cheap oysters at $1.95 each. We saw ppl behind the counters busy chucking and serving fresh oysters. That’s what we came for and they were good.

Also got the bloody mary that comes with oyster for $12, but the drink was bitter…
The happy hour items were cheap but the portions were small. The beer came in a glass smaller than a standard pint and chips with green goddess dressing was not that much either.

The service was great, and everyone who worked there was very friendly.
