Tried the breakfast sandwich and the Junkfood Burger. Ready enjoyed both. Great balance of flavors. Was skeptical of the black bean burger approach (as opposed to Impossible or something), but you know what? This was great too.

I finally made it out to the Totally Awesome Vegan Food Truck and it's totally insane it took me this long. Best vegan food in Portland. I got the Totally Awesome burger and fries, and my partner got a hot dog. All the food was amaaaaazing, and we cannot wait to come back to try the brunch!

This is seriously such a neat food truck. I wish we took photos of the actual food but we were drooling and dove right into eating it the second we got it. I ran the Maine Half Marathon last weekend and I always look for a big greasy vegan burger about a half marathon so it was totally awesome that the Totally Awesome vegan good truck was one of the food truck options at the finish line. I got the texas drive in burger and it was absolutely delicious. They use homemade black bean burgers which is a nice change from the usual beyond or impossible burger. The burger was delicious and had a nice texture and was not as mushy and did not fall apart as easy as some black bean burgers. It was topped with delicious tots, jalapeños, vegan chees3 and BBQ sauce. Delicious flavors with just the right amount of spice. I also got tots on the side which had a delicious maple Chipotle aioli on top. I would definitely recommend this food truck and if I got to Portland Maine again will be on the lookout for it

These photos were taken at Back Cove trail in Portland. It’s a nice walking and biking trail along the water. Seems like a great, relaxing place to go for a lunch break if you’re in the city. Lots of benches to sit and enjoy.The main purpose for this review is the TAVFT, though! I’ve been wanting to go ever since I heard of them and was not disappointed. I cannot resist anything with (vegan) Mac and Cheese so I went for the 420 Dawg, a hot dog topped with it, plus tater tots and sriracha! Ultimate comfort food, and I am always grateful for plant-based and vegan options. Looking forward to trying the breakfast sandwich and other offerings soon!! The people working there were also very friendly.

Best vegan food in town. Family owned and operated. I've been following them for years and will continue to regardless of having a vegan diet or not. The brekky is to die for. The owners are so kind and create innovative vegan ingredients from scratch. Check their instagram to track down TAVFT.

As expected, the food was delicious. We got the Baconator and the Totally Awesome Burger. We found the car on the burgers to create an excellent taste and texture, the bun to burger ratio was perfect (great buns, too) and the toppings were just right. The service was so friendly! They communicated well and were sweet. We liked finding they had apple cider when we were there. Easy to find the day's location by checking their Instagram. Would go again next time we're in Portland!
