We were in the area two days before Thanksgiving and when I found out this bakery had pies, I was hoping to try the blueberry/blackberry but they had limited choices. So we went for a pecan pie which is my favorite. I felt that $38 was quite high and honestly I've had much better. There were too many pecans and not enough filling. The crust was a huge disappointment. The edges were hard and the bottom was undercooked.

I ordered a custom 6” cake for a naturalization ceremony and this literally the best cake I’ve ever had. Their buttercream is PHENOMENAL, I can’t even explain how good it is. Also, I had only asked for a small simple design and they made the cake SO beautiful with chocolate drizzle all down the sides and gorgeous piping. We will 100% be ordering our wedding reception cake from here. Highly highly highly recommend!

Anyone that reads my reviews knows that I do not give out 5 stars very often, in fact I rarely do. Two Fat Cats is definitely a place that deserves it. The atmosphere is incredible, feels like you are walking into the family kitchen of a rustic old farmhouse. The staff is friendly, kind, and oh so very welcoming. The food .....OH MY GOD the food. As a former fat guy (I've lost 231 pounds in the last year) and foodie I secretly wished that I could eat one of everything I saw. Due to my now smaller stomach I was restricted to just a couple bites of my wife's food. Bacon, egg, and cheese on a scallion and cheddar biscuit. Wow!!! The biscuit was so flaky and flavorful and HUGE!! Definitely my new favorite biscuit and I doubt anyone will be able to knock it out of first place. Everything I eat for breakfast from now on will be forever inferior. Cinnamon brown sugar "Morning Toastie" was basically a bougie pop tart. Light flaky crust filled with a cinnamon and brown sugar filling and iced with cinnamon icing. WOW!!! So amazing. Trust me, you do not want to sleep on this place. Do yourself a favor and check it out. Support an amazing local business for breakfast. Forgot Dunkin and all the other over priced, mass produced, frozen, and full of preservatives crap out ther YOU WANT TO COME HERE!! Everything scratch made in an open kitchen, right in front of you. You will not be disappointed.

Never actually been to the bakery, but they do have items available at other retail grocery stores in the area. Purchased a wild maine Blueberry pie as an impulse buy in Brunswick at Morning Glory on Maine Street, and it had to be the best Blueberry pie I have ever had. Hope to visit the bakery one day when down in Portland.

2nd time eating pies here. The blueberry is one of my favorites and the sour cherry was excellent as well. Definitely stop by for a slice or a whole pie.

Walked to this cute little bakery on a quick stop in Portland. We wanted to try a blueberry pie as well as a whoopie pie before we left Maine as that is what I kept reading Maine was known for. Also purchased a chocolate chip cookie. We sampled the cookie shortly after purchase and we all enjoyed it. Saved the other two until after dinner tonight.
Imagine my complete surprise when I cut the pie and found an apple pie instead of blueberry. Was very clear to the gal that we wanted the blueberry one when we purchased. I had one bite and it was mostly heavy crust and not the light fluffy crust that should go with a pie. Terribly disappointed. The apples tasted as though out of a can, not freshly picked apples and overpowering cinnamon. Since I personally don’t like apple pie, my review is somewhat biased.
As far as the whoopie pie, it was dry and lacked any robust flavors. The cream was dense and flavorless. I could have made this with a Betty Crocker cake mix and a buttercream frosting and had more appeal. I know, harsh.
Overall, I gave it a 3 star because of the cookie. Unfortunately, I can’t give it a second chance as we were stopping on our way back to Boston and from Michigan. Hoping that the blueberry pie is better and others give this spot a chance. The pies looked delicious as did the scones.

My family and I have been wanting to visit Two Fat Cats Bakery ever since we first heard about it. We finally had the chance this past Friday, October 11, and were so excited to try somewhere new.
However, when we returned home to sample one of the 3 pies we bought, apple, we were extremely disappointed. When we sliced into it, it was full of so much juice that we immediately knew this was not normal. The bottom crust was so soggy that it was mush, and the top crust was slightly gummy with no flavor at all.
A big letdown for having spent over $100 on pies and pastries. We were really looking forward to the pies from here and they didn’t live up to the hype. Very disappointed!

Very good! Had the pumpkin maple woopie pie. The cake was very moist and the icing had a nice maple flavor. We also got the spinach feta quiche and lemon blueberry scone. Everything was delicious and the portions were very good for the price. I highly recommend!

Lovely baked goods, excellent coffee. Little tricky to get to due to the road being closed September 2024..:but worth the walk. Would have picked up a mug to take home because the logo is so cute, but the mugs are made in China. 10/10 would recommend
