Had the chicken pieard and would have sent it back except we were with other people and didn't want to cause any problem. It was dry and tasteless. Menu is very limited.

We're regulars. Best burger in town. Good cocktails. We generally sit at the bar - the bartender is usually welcoming, friendly, and appropriately attentive. But this time not so much. We haven't seen this one before. He was surly, rude, ignored us, was inattentive, and smarmy. Ruined the experience. I believe in generously tipping, but almost shorted him. We might try again, but another experience like that and we won't be back.

We had a reservation enjoy the atmosphere had a couple beers. We all ordered burgers with the french fries they came out fabulous. We had a wait a little long for the burgers, but we were there at the peak hour. Spoke to the manager. He was very courteous sent over a couple desserts on the house for making us wait. Definitely try. The burger was amazing.

Staff truly elevated this from “wow this food is awesome” to “this whole dinner is fantastic!” Warm, friendly, and so helpful. The specialty cheese was incredible as were the mussels. Loved the whole experience!

We came to Woodford F&B for a birthday dinner and had a wonderful experience! The food was excellent and they had options for a range of dietary needs. The drinks were great too - don’t miss out on trying their mocktails! But the real standout was the service. Our server, Kat, was a delight. She was kind, efficient, and clearly enthusiastic about providing the best possible customer experience. The hostess was similarly great, and I can’t remember the last time I had such an all-around positive restaurant experience. I would highly recommend Woodford F&B and hope to return soon myself.

We had an excellent experience here! I had one of the best meals ever, certainly that was at least partially owing to many of the ingredients being pulled straight from the ocean and being perfectly in season but the oysters and bluefin tuna were beautifully prepared and exceptional, service and staff were amazing. I had the bluefin tuna Niçoise salad the first night of our trip and talked about it the whole time we were in Maine. I’m sure I annoyed everybody, but it was just that good!

Had such a lovely time at woodford, the ambiance is laid back and relaxed but still chic in this diner setting. The food is innovative- loved the cherry salad- and the burger and sundae were really delicious. Great semi-casual date spot. Also loved having a booth!!

I thought this place was out of business. It’s amazing, but the weeds in the front and no real signage left me thinking it was an empty building. Sorry couldn’t see through the tinted windows. Come to find out this place is amazing.

I have always loved this place and sent many people there to eat over the years. Due to life happening I had not been in a couple of years. It was not the place that I remembered. No air conditioning and it was 91 degrees outside. Our meals were not what either of us had remembered. a $72 steak with no flavor other than the parmesan that was on top of it. $44 tuna that was covered in chili powder and again no flavor. Heat isnt flavor. The people next to us also got the tuna and said the same as me. No flavor and way to much heat seasoning. The amount of tuna that I got for $44 was not worth it. They still claim to be a James Beard restaurant but I believe that chef is no longer working there. You can keep the menu but when you lose the talent you'll lose customers. I miss the old WF&B. It was consistent and I didn't sweat into my food. For these prices for sub par food, fix your air conditioning!!! Your poor staff was dying in the heat.

My husband and I went to Woodford for dinner on a recent trip to Portland. We had a reservation (it was a Thursday night) and were seated promptly. Our server was nice and attentive, but I have to be honest and say that for a place that was a semifinalist for a James Beard hospitality award, it wasn't the over the top great service we were expecting, there were other places we had stellar service at on this trip. The service wasn't bad by any means, but when it's touted on the website that they were James Beard nominated for hospitality, we just had higher expectations. The cocktails were good, I had the Emergency Margarita and my husband had the Best Beloved G&T. For an appetizer, we shared some oysters, which were very fresh and tasty. We also shared a salad of spring greens and shaved radishes, the creamy dressing was incredible! For my main, I had mussels and fries, the broth that the mussels were in was delicious and the mussels were perfectly cooked. My husband had the duck and while it was very good, we were a bit disappointed that it didn't come with a side (they were more garnishes) for the price. We shared the chocolate pudding for dessert, which was super rich and very good, I also had a grasshopper cocktail, which was pleasantly minty and refreshing.

Great spot
Always consistently delicious. Service is outstanding. We love Birch!
This place is usually packed, and for good reason, reservations are typically a must. But we lucked out with a 4:30 arrival and snagged a table with no wait.
We started with a salad, and it was the perfect side to share before diving into burgers. Crisp, fresh greens, a touch of black pepper, creamy dressing, and the sharp bite of radishes made for a light, flavorful beginning.
While we usually come here for the seafood, we were craving burgers, and they absolutely delivered. Thick, juicy, and bursting with flavor, this burger was everything we hoped for and more. The cheese was ooey, gooey, and gloriously melty, while the caramelized onions added just the right touch of sweetness. The fries? Crispy perfection. And the aioli on the side took them to the next level.
This just might be the best burger in Portland!
We have dined here 5-6 times and always enjoyed it - very disappointing meal tonight. Lackluster salad including greens that were not fresh and no seasoning beyond lemon. Mussels were incredibly bland - thin broth with garlic and not much else, cold bread accompanying. Could be the simple fact that it’s a Monday and they are anticipating deliveries tomorrow? Service is always good and the environment is great. Hopefully tonight was a one off.
