I am the kind of person who scoffed at vanilla ice cream. I thought it was boring, plain, blah. So when I went to Zephyr Ice I had planned to ask if I could just get the shaved ice— no ice cream. I am so glad I didn’t do that. This is the best ice cream I have ever tasted, and the shaved ice of course was flawless. I can’t go often because of the distance, but whenever I do find myself near Portland, I dream of this place.
There is nothing this place could improve, except to be open every day at all hours. Ha. Seriously, the friendliest folks behind the counter serving up the most fun & unique ice cream concoctions. Can't wait to visit again soon!
I can't recommend Zepyr Ice enough! Their vegan coconut ice cream is delicious, and it’s incredibly easy to create unique vegan combinations with the syrups (real fruit) for the shaved ice. The fruit syrups are absolutely incredible! The staff is very friendly and the service is excellent.
