Good food, great service, clean establishment. Too many places seem to charge more and offer less in terms of food and service. I felt that was not the case here. We were in from out of town and did not have a reservation (was busy). They immediately did what they could to make something work for us, and got us a couple seats. We ended up at the bar, which was a great experience. The bar tender, Tony, was quick and knowledgeable. We experimented with some of his takes on cocktails, which even improved the experience. My wife and I split the charcuterie board and carbonara, which were both great. Would recommend this spot to anyone. They also had some enjoyable beers on tap - a beer called duck was a nice, light choice.

It's obvious that the reviews are either fake or come from people who don't have the faintest idea of what good Italian cuisine is... and I'm not talking about starred cuisine

The meatballs as always are excellent. Had spaghetti carbonara this time around which was very tasty! Also had a Mr Grumypants stout for the first time and would definitely get again!

This is the third time we had dinner at ADA ( every summer in the last 3 years)
On Friday 08/23/2024 we went there for dinner hoping to have a nice experience , but , unfortunately it was very bad .
Since the very beginning the hostess ( old guy ) not was welcoming and a little bit rude when we tell him we wanted a different table , then , our server guy had a very bad presentation and not good manners that all . Between courses it was a lot of time to wait for the next plate .
Our wine glasses were greasy and 1 was dirty . We need more napkins ( paper is what they used ) and because our sever disappear we had to ask to other person in the restaurant to help us .
Definitely we will never going back to dine at ADA’s anymore and will say look for other restaurant to have dinner in Rockland , Maine .

I really wasn’t too impressed with this place. I will say the service was great. It was nice that our table was ready right when we walked in since we had reservations. Overall, though, the food was subpar. I got the pizza and the peach and arugula salad. The pizza was a bit over cooked and the crust tasted bland. The salad was just nothing special - just a peach placed on top of some lightly oil arugula. I wouldn’t return, but I could see it being nice if you were just wanting to get an appetizer and some drinks at the bar. The restaurant itself is fairly cute.

We came here for pre-wedding reception for 8 people. All the guests remarked about the quality of food. The pasta dishes (lobster linguine, pistachio pesto pasta, seafood lemon wine sauce linguine, pizza, chicken Parmesan, Chilean sea bass were good to exceptional and elevated to exceptional status when accounting for price point and quantity size (good portion sizes) the service was exceptional and waitress came by our table multiple times to check on us and were very receptive and friendly when we asked them to take pictures. Our guests remarked this was an excellent place and had a good time especially coming from 5 to 12 hours away out of state. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Nice italian restaurant right in downtown Rockland. Reservations are easy to make on line and recommended. We split a pepperoni pizza and a house salad. Salad was delicious. Pizza had a nice thin crust and was very good. Our only complaint is that they use salami and you can hardly taste it. Service was not the best even though they were not busy.

The pasta carbonara was dry and without sauce at all, it was also salty and when we asked to the service for help they said they couldn’t do anything about it, not even add a little bit of sauce.

Very busy and loved restaurant, so make reservations. The staff was all very kind and helpful in spite of being absolutely slammed when we were there. The fresh house made pistacheo pesto pasta was superb. In fact, everything we had there was amazing. There are so many great options that it was difficult to choose.

We had a reservation at 7:45 and we were finally seated at 8:05. We sat at our table while the wait staff ignored us until 8:20 when we got up and walked out, again, without anyone even noticing. The service was abysmal... the food looked good, too bad I'll never find out if it actually is.

The atmosphere is nice but the service was not great. We sat at the bar for cocktails and decided we wanted a pizza to go 10 minutes before the kitchen closed, granted the bar was full and other people were ordering food still. The bartender took 15 minutes to acknowledge us because he was flirting with a girl at the bar, by the time he came over to us, the kitchen was closed - it was 10:05pm and he said there was nothing he could do. We left hungry and there was no other place open for food. They also charged us $10 for olives in our martinis. I am a gay man and was there with my friend and felt very uncomfortable with the way the bartender was treating us and it felt as if he didn’t like us for being gay.

I was in town mid-June overnight so I could catch the North Haven ferry the next day. I made a last minute decision to make a reservation after I arrived in town (there were only 2 choices) and I was glad I did! Rockland is small and I was there on a Tuesday night so a lot of places were closed. I had really high hopes for Ada's after perusing the menu. The staff was amazing and handled the influx of tourists to the best of their ability. The food, however, was underwhelming. I was really excited to try the Broccolini appetizer and Lemon Seafood Linguine. I've had excellent, simple veg dishes that are to die for. This broccolini was not that. It was pretty forgettable, as was, unfortunately, the very expensive seafood linguine dish. Maybe it lacked seasoning? But there was hardly any flavor. The pasta is clearly homemade, which is amazing, but other than that not worth it in my opinion. The best thing I had at Ada's was the bottle of cabernet! I wish I could say better things about the food. The wood fired pizzas coming out did look fantastic, so maybe that's the way to go.
