My husband has had a lobster roll in every town we’ve visited on our Down East tour. He declares Hazel’s the best hands down. I can vouch for the pumpkin shake. The place is cheerful and clean and the staff were amazing. You can sit outside or they will bring your food to your car.

Best Lobster rolls in Maine, fries were hot and crisp, slaw was delish. Staff was super friendly, picnic table were clean and under shade trees. Had water for any pups that visited. Just an all around great place to eat.

Got there after they were technically closed? but they served me a wonderful crab lobster roll.I lived in Frienfship for 20 years and I really needed some good Maine seafood !

I really want to love this place, but I keep trying and I keep getting disappointed. Burgers are so overpriced for the quality. Not sure what happened to their blueberry shakes - last year they were amazing; this year they are meh. Crab tasted fishy, which is such a turn off. If I’m expected to pay $30 for a meal, I expect a bit more.

Hazels is a take out with picnic tables or you can eat in your vehicle. They are fast and bring your food you once you order. Sitting at the tables I always seem to meet friendly people and often there are nice dogs too. The tables are clean, have shade umbrellas, and seem to have fresh paint every year. My favourite treat there is the haddock ruben. Everything I've ever had there has been fresh, and cooked right, never overly greasy or over or under cooked. They make a good milkshake, too. Lots of flavors to choose from.

Every single time we go to Rockland we stop here. The workers are hilarious. The food is delicious and comes out fast. The bathrooms are clean. Worth every penny. I cannot recommend it enough.

We waited 27 minutes for 4 somewhat small lobster rolls that were just chopped up claws for $27 each. They do not deliver your food as FCFS. Several parties who were in line after us were served their lobster rolls before we were. Disappointed to be honest. Not worth a 27 minute wait.

Decent place, wouldn’t be my first choice. My clam belly sandwich was ok , a bit greasy and cole slaw had too much mayonnaise. My son had chicken tenders and fries- chicken was dry.
We’ve driven by this cheerful take out place for years and finally gave it a try today. My husband had an excellent cheeseburger and I had the haddock sandwich, one of the best I’ve had in a long time. I thought the fries were excellent too, and the cost was quite reasonable. Worth a stop when you’re in the area.

We had the special half crab half lobster with fries and drinks. Too many shell pieces in my lobster. Sure glad I didn't do all lobster. I'd still be there picking out the shells. Prices are high for the tiny sandwich. Found other places bigger lobster roll and lower price and no shells. Haddock sandwich was ok. Blueberry crisp was very good. I would not recommend this place for lobster. Shop around. Tomorrow is another day of exploring. When in Maine...you take a chance.

Hazel's is the best! I ordered fish and chips and received a giant basket with perfectly cooked fish and hot, crispy fries. Definitely enough for two people! I'll take my hubby here for his birthday! Brightly painted picnic tables in a serene setting next to a busy intersection.
