We went mid afternoon yesterday for a couple cocktails and a meal . Our consent is more about the lack of professionalism. We sat down to he the bartender consuming a shot with his customer. Ok ,well not right but it happens. Upon ordering our meals and receiving them we weren’t offered napkins, silverware or salt & pepper . We had to ask for them. It should be noted that they weren’t very busy. We always give business’ a second try as we all can have an off day. Our bad experience isn’t the end of the world but definitely could have been better.

This is a solid 3 star spot, and I mean that in the best way.

Food is decent, service is friendly, it's easy. Is it the most sublime meal you've ever had? No, it's not supposed to be. Could the atmosphere use work? Sure. It's a good spot for a meal and the people are nice, and sometimes that is exactly what you need.

Good Experience at Rock Harbor Pub & Brewery

Finding parking in Rockland is tough, especially with an RV! Luckily, after checking in at the campground, they suggested I park at Pier 2 near the Light House Museum and Police Station. I was looking for a simple bite to eat and some time to walk around, so I stopped into Rock Harbor Pub & Brewery on Main Street.

The atmosphere was great, though the service was a bit slow and disorganized. It wasn’t clear who was handling customers, but no big deal—just added a bit more time to the visit. I started with the Rock Harbor French Fries and was curious to try their Rock Harbor Beer Cheese. The fries were basic, and the beer cheese wasn't what I expected—it was more of a paste than melted cheese. For my beer, I went with the Spruce Head Stout. It had strong chocolate and coffee undertones, but the balance was a bit off—the chocolate overpowered the beer a bit. It reminded me of Young’s Double Chocolate Stout from Eagle Brewery.

For my main dish, I asked the bartender for a recommendation between the tacos or another item. She suggested the Chicken Tacos, one of the most basic items on the menu. I think there was a missed opportunity to upsell, but I understand how it is being in the industry myself. The food overall was decent, and I left a good tip for the bartender on both card and cash.

All in all, it was a good experience. I’ll definitely be back!

We had burgers and fries the first night. Really good. I'm not a big beer fan,but decided to try one of their brand. The underway pilsner. Omg. I absolutely love it. Very light, crisp, and refreshing. My husband tried their spruce head stout and copperhouse esb. He enjoyed both and said they are smooth, not bitter, and easily drinkable. I'm not a fan of dark beers, but I actually enjoyed the copperhouse. Thank you rock harbor pub and brewery for a most satisfying time and a great tasting beer

My husband and I met friends here for lunch and beer. My overpriced salad had fresh greens (thankfully) with just a few walnuts, cranberries and a few minuscule chunks of goat cheese. The grilled haddock that I asked to have added to my salad was soggy and had a skin on top (fried?). Terrible! All of the other meals were sub-par but no one complained about the beer. As for the server…the instant that the last fork was laid on the table he was there to ask if we wanted the check. He said that we could stay and chat but it was clear that he wanted us to leave. And the ink was not yet dry on the bill when he leaned over and whispered to us two women that someone had just arrived and was waiting for a table. So in other words, “here’s your hat, what’s your hurry!” We will not return!

Very decent food and truly excellent house beer. Service was a little slow because they only had one waitress serving the entire place (not at all her fault - she did great despite the challenge).

First time here and the atmosphere and bartender/waitress was phenomenal! The food was a pleasent surprise with a great variety to make even our pickiest of eaters happy. Would definitely recommend and intend to come back when we're in the area.

I brought friends from out of town here and had a wonderful time! The food was great, the beer was delicious, and our server was such a sweetheart! The smugglers session IPA is very refreshing and well-balanced. I like that it isn’t over the top hoppy, like some IPAs can be.

This review is based only on service because we never had the chance to experience the food or atmosphere. We arrived at 830pm after driving 11 hrs to have some dinner. We were told the kitchen was closed and they had ran out of food.

World's smallest lobster roll for $28! Most expensive lobster roll we've had in the entire state, but the least amount of meat. Don't waste your time.

Menu online is not updated to reflect the lack of selection they have on the menu in restaurant.

Dan and the team here are fantastic! Great beers and the new lobster Reuben was delicious! Highly recommend.
