About Auto Mile Diner

The Auto Mile Diner is a charming restaurant with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The owner, George, is a gracious host who ensures a pleasant dining experience. The menu features a range of delicious options, including the popular haddock chowder and loaded double steak and cheese sandwich. The food is cooked to perfection, and the staff is friendly and efficient. The cozy ambiance is enhanced by George's singing, making it a unique and enjoyable spot to dine.

The diner offers a variety of homemade dishes, such as the chicken croquettes, which have been a hit with customers. The Don's scramble, featuring tomato, avocado, and cheese in creamy scrambled eggs, is also a customer favorite. Customers have described the portions as generous, with the Pile Up breakfast being "fantastic." Some suggestions for improvement include using clarified butter for grilled cheese and cooking the tomato on the grill first to avoid cold bites in hot sandwiches.

With its great food, excellent service, and homey feel, the Auto Mile Diner remains a hidden gem worth visiting for both locals and travelers. George's joy for life and singing add a special touch, making each visit memorable, and the friendly atmosphere reminds visitors of grandma's dining room.

really read the reviews owner is rude verbally attacks customers, the place is a dingy dirty hole in the wall, plenty of other places to go that know how to act professionally and don't fly of the handle when you least expect it

Had a great lunch there today. Friendly service and I could not believe that chicken croquettes were on the menu.!!
they were clearly homemade and they were amazing. Not 24 hours before had I posted on my Facebook that it had been 40 years and that I missed my mother making them for us and I could not find them anywhere. And lo and behold just a random stop at a nice diner I had never been to and I got to have a taste of my youth ! Will definitely be back the next time...read full review

If you are looking for a homey feel, good food, and excellent service this is the perfect diamond in the hiding. The staff were great, and the food was done perfectly the first time, with barely a wait. I was impressed and know for sure we will be back again.
