A great spot for one drink or a whole meal. Bartenders are great and friendly, and the atmosphere can’t be beat. I’ve enjoyed all the various food I’ve had in my visits to boot.

I'm so happy this place is in port Clyde, always a good solid meal, nothing fancy but good simple Maine food.

This is our third year visiting Port Clyde but our first time trying The Black Harpoon. The staff are so friendly and inviting but the real star of the show is the chef! The food is great but the onion rings are to die for!! Thank you for making us feel welcome to your little town

This is a significant local spot. Indoor and outdoor dinning depending on weather. The large bar area has lobster trap bouy markers hanging from the ceiling. A sports, news, entertainment bar area. A full bar with several beers on tap. If you ask for a Margarita ? they will likely ask if you have a tequila preference and you'll have several choices straight out of Margaritaville even if it is over a thousand miles away. The ocean and light house ? are just down the street and your table neighbors may be lobstermen, artists, small distillers, writers, retired CEOs or very senior judges who I refuse to identify.Vegetarian options: Several choices. All fresh and local except in winter.Kid-friendliness: A play area.Parking: Plenty of free parking. They need more dedicated handicap spots.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp.

Great place with friendly vibe. Food was fantastic - lobster, scallops and salads were top notch. The service was super friendly. Our favorite restaurant in the area.

We came early at the same time as a bunch of other tables. Staff was attentive and kept us updated on the wait. Kids were very happy with their meals. Excellent fish tacos, fish was incredibly fresh.

We were fortunate to get a table on a busy evening. The waitress was quick to take drink orders, provide menus, bring drinks and take our orders. Then things moved slowly. It took a very long time for the appetizer, Chili Thai Shrimp. This dish was excellent. The right mix of hot and sweet. My spouse had haddock tacos which he finished before my seared scallops were served. The waitress apologized for entering my order incorrectly and compensated us for the mix up. Worth another try on a less busy night if only for the Chili Thai Shrimp.

THE BEST mussels from Brunswick to Belfast. Perfect. "HARPOON MUSSELS– steamed in white wine, garlic, shallots & signature Dijon cream sauce; served with bread"

We've been summering in Port Clyde for over a dozen years and the Black Harpoon is as ideal as a coastal Maine bar and eatery can be. The ambience is fabulous, the service friendly and attentive, and the food fresh and wonderful. Best endorsement of all - the locals gather here!

Amazing spot. Get the fish reuben, you won’t regret it.

Came here in a Friday night at 5:30, it was pizza day. So we ordered a pizza to share. It was pretty good. Loved the vibe, it was basically mostly locals. The service was great. Our server was very attentive and really nice. Good spot for a beer and a bite!
