Very nice restaurant glad to have mexican restaurant in Sanford. They provide good size portions and the food was delicious. The atmosphere is festive.
I was shocked to find one of my favorite Mexican restaurants is in a small town in Maine. The menu was a clue that everything was made fresh from scratch because each dish had a unique twist to it and the price was fantastic. Even heard other customers say they couldn't wait to come back after the meal they had!

they put mushrooms only mushrooms in my goddamn taco bread was cold and soggy shut tasted like a wet paper towel and there was a rat tail in my taco like be deadass

The food was excellent, the drinks were not that great and the service while he was nice enough we had people seated after us who were served before us and when we finally got him to take our order I was in mid order when he turned around to help the other table and left again to do something for them didn't excuse himself or check if it was alright if he helped them he just turned away as I was talking, not a good impression.
New favorite Mexican restaurant! Amazing food and service. Great salsa, guac and queso. Tacos have super fresh ingredients and lots of options on the menu. Cute decor and all around great vibes. Went for my best friend’s birthday and they even brought out the sombrero and speaker with churros to celebrate. Made our day! Will definitely be back often!

LITERALLY MY FAV RESTAURANT!! Love this place, amazing food at really good prices, seriously I almost never eat anywhere else because their bang-buck ratio is really good. The ambiance is cool, with what I assume to be Mexican music weaving through the air constantly. The servers are rather awkward, but their always nice, cool, and respectful. if you go there I definitely recommend the burritos!!
Great food that is decently priced, fast service in a nice atmosphere. Food is not over seasoned as some claim nor is it under seasoned as others claim. It is not spiced as heavily as you might find it in Mexico but it is spiced enough to keep your mouth tingling for a while after eating. It is perfectly seasoned for a New Englanders' pallet. I definitely recommend El Mexicano. Long menu, good drinks!

A Mexican food lovers dream come true, not sure how much more authentic you can get. Each meal we have had is amazing, pritions are large so be sure to ask for a to go container. Also enjoy the chips and salsa but add some queso you will not be dissapointed. The atmosphere is clean, and inviting. They do have a full service bar with seating.
