This is a unique restaurant located right on the tarmac of a small airport. It was very busy when we were there and rightfully so. The food was great and the service was very personable. I'll typically get eggs benedict for breakfast and this one was very good, I enjoyed it a lot. Not much atmosphere, really, but they have large windows that look out on the tarmac and the runway so it's fun to watch the activity. There were several families with young children, and I'm sure that they enjoyed watching the small planes as they taxied around and then took off and landed.
Went in this morning with my husband. Our third time..we just discovered this place. It's always been good. And we've been happy to recommend it to everyone. He ordered the large breakfast I did a number #2. Very dissapointed. The homefries were so overcooked we couldn't eat them. The toast came out so cold and hard it was inedible. Sausage links were tiny skinny tasteless links and bacon was like leather.. The waiter was nice. Yes it was crowded but they should still be sure each customer gets a good meal. $33dollars and some change later. was not worth it!!!
Great food and even better and nicer service. Prices are reasonable and the place is usually busy but we flew in and got right in, got fast and very friendly service with many smiles and fresh hot food. We will be back
3 breakfasts this morning and all three said, “once is enough”! They don’t serve waffles, don’t serve sausage Pattie’s. What they do serve is burnt coffee, reg and decaf, toast that is white warm bread, rubbery pancakes, ham omelet with hard little bits of ham. Waitress asked how everything was and she didn’t seem surprised when we said terrible. Too many good breakfast places in Sanford to ever miss the Pilots Cove.
Had business in the area and decided to try this restaurant. The special was the Rubin panini and we added on their mac& cheese. Although the Rubin was tasty, the bread soggy and couldn't hold the meat. Fries were great. As for mine, it didn't hit the table with bubbling cheese, rather a thicker cheese, you'd cut into. Taste was there, just expected something better. Service was great, the waitress was very pleasant and attentive. Would return to give their breakfast a try.
The food is amazing. The staff is wonderful. The restaurant and ambiance is modern, eclectic and rocks. They even have cloths. I love this place.
Food is horrible. Presentation of dinners are not appealing.
My friend and I flew in from New Hampshire for breakfast. We were immediately greeted and seated oh, our host was wonderful. I went with the lobster Benedict and the home fries but in hindsight I wish I went with beans because I love beans. And a short time we had our meal in front of us and the lobster Benedict was fantastic! Home prices are very good as well, the meal was very filling and I certainly left there satiated! I had both water and coffee for a beverage and the coffee was pretty much bottomless. It was quite busy when we arrived around 9:30 oh, perhaps a ride in closer to opening would guarantee a seat. If I'm in the area I'm definitely stopping back in for breakfast!
Loved this hidden gem of a diner. We ate outside with a great view of the small runway. The owner and his well trained staff are just wonderful. Highly recommend this place if you're on your way up to check out the foliage. The Chicken strips were the favorite for my ten year old.
I'm torn by this place. The food was just ok but it was very busy and the owner and waitress were great. The atmosphere was great with the airport right there and the outdoor seating was great. I'll have to give this place another shot maybe for breakfest.

Got it to go. Only went down the road 2 minutes, and it traveled fine. Fryer needs some oil changed, these friends are embarrassing (they are just crumbs). I would never have served these. Salad was fine but nothing special. Pretzel as good but for the size of it, a 2oz mustard is not really what anyone would expect. Burger was just fine, nothing special by any means. Maybe will give it another shot, idk.Staff was friendly. Building looked nice.
Great pizza, closest to New York pizza that we've found in Maine so far. Always get it when we're nearby
