I hope tonight isn't an indication of what summer will be like at this restaurant. To start we switched tables. The couple next to us were face timing with their their grand kids!!! Tonight I had the special scallops in a beurre blanc sauce with whipped mashed potatoes. It was a horrible meal. Sauce had a funky flavor and potatoes were stone cold. Shade at the Higgins Beach Inn offers a traditional dining experience with a cozy atmosphere that highlights the Maine coast. The food and service are praised as excellent.
