We had a lovely lunch here to celebrate a birthday. The chef created dishes that looked—and tasted—outstanding. One person in our party remarked that it was the best burger she has ever had. The clams melted in my mouth, the drinks were great, and the dessert was decadent. The space is bright with a spectacular view. We could see Mt. Washington and the beach from our table.
Wow what a beautiful place. Lookout over the ocean while having a delicious cocktail or tasty food.
Great menu and service. Very noisy and the dining room lights need to be dimmed at dinner. Lights were much to bright for a warm atmosphere !
Just a very special experience. The Inn is beautiful with wonderful views and lots of historic character. The service was wonderful (ask for Max) and the food was delicious. The braised rib was amazing. A memorable experience.
Very nice place with a good view and fire in fireplace. Good choice for our anniversary dinner.
Beautiful views on the edge of Prout'sNeck. The food matches the view! The halibut was cooked to perfection in a sauce with chickpeas. Unique and very well done—fresh moist just cooked through. We have been to BPI the last 15 years. The food keeps improving.
This is in a beautiful setting. Wonderful menu - will return when we visit Scarborough again.
The lobster bisque, fried clams and BPI sundae were all delicious. Wait staff was very friendly and attentive.
Always yummy and fun! Bartender/wait person is fabulous. Food delicious. Nice wine list. Amazing view!
The Chef's special seafood is usually the best option. On-menu lobster roll was a bit tired, but special salmon on a creative base of grains and beans with crab fritters was lovely! Outdoor dining can't be beat!

Spur of the moment decision to drop in the Black Point for Lunch. We sat out on the deck ...beautiful views, nice breeze. Truly a hidden gem! Ordered the lobster roll, fried c lams and a last-minute change as I saw the table next to ours had the fish & Chips ...all perfect. Nice touch with the rosemary fries.... and homemade tartar. Finished off with the Maine Blueberry pie with Chantily cream and a chef recommend Chocolate Mint mouse pie. Just a great way to spend a leisurely Saturday on the Maine Coast.
The cod and halibut were delicious. They just switched to fall menu. I would like to have had some saffron rice along with the halibut instead of all garbanzo beans. Table cloths on outdoor tables would have been nice touch as wood was pretty weathered. Beautiful views!
Lunch was outstanding

There is simply no better dining experience in Maine than a warm September afternoon on the deck at the Black Point Inn, enjoying cocktails over a lazy sunset and a fabulous meal. I was indulging in the Black Point Bourbon cocktail and the gentle waves at Prout's Neck... thinking to myself, "this place is an absolute gem." The food is fabulous. The people wonderful. The vibe classy but casual. And that view! What more could you possibly want?
It was a wonderful experience, food was great, servers very friendly and ambiance terrific. They were short a bartender this night which put pressure on all the other servers to fill in.
