I got the pork 9-1-1 sandwich pretty spicy and it was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. Will stop here when I’m in the area for another one.

The owner makes his soups and sandwiches from scratch. I enjoyed the potato and leek soup on my last visit.

Our first introduction to Maine was at this unique roadside eat in or take out stand. The food was cooked to order by our host, and it was delicious! Nothing fancy here just good vibes, hard chairs, friendly folks and great home cooking. I had some haddock, cooked to order because of my wheat allergy and my husband had "911 pork tenderloin sandwich with Mayo horseradish sauce and provolone cheese. Yums all around!

I got the poached pear salad which was fresh and plentiful, i wish it included some kind of protein but thats a personal preference. The only thing about this place is the entire environment made me a little uncomfortable. The store has at least 3-4 signs on the walls that draw your eye as soon as you walk in, all warning you not to complain about how long your order takes. This, along with the fact that the owner verbally warned me about how long it will take to make my food was... awkward. This is 1 out of 3 places that sells hot food for miles, nobody coming there should be in such a rush! Im not sure what the prior experiences for the owner were, but the atmosphere has suffered from seemingly impatient customers and makes him come off as pretty jaded. Like i said, the food was great, but i probably wouldnt return solely because i didnt really like the environment in the resturant.

Soup Shack is my jam! Justin has an amazing array of flavors and I especially enjoy the seasonal menu. The Honolulu Hot & Steamy is my current fave as well as the goat cheese and (fresh) pear salad. Quirky and delicious. Call ahead cuz everything is fresh and cooked to order!

Amazingly friendly staff, excellent food and a very comforting, small town atmosphere. I highly recommend stopping for a bowl of soup and one of their huge sandwiches.

So much flavor in one big sandwich - the Pork 911- sliced pork tenderloin with seasonings, local greens, garlic mayo and crumbled blue cheese on a toasted roll - is so good you want to cry. It takes a little time to make, and that is just fine....worth every minute. We've been here a couple of times and ordered the same sandwich - I need to branch out and try their other offerings. The restaurant is small - dine-in is a small counter with chairs...and it seems much of the business is take out - like we did this time. There are picnic tables outside. The folks who run this place are friendly and they take care with what they do. Highly recommended.

What an amazing place! I just had the best experience from the moment I walked in the door. The owner was super friendly and welcoming! He quickly explained what the place was all about since it was my first time. They do cozy foods for the winter and fresh salads and things for the summer. Reasonably priced and oh my delicious. Everything is made to order, but it did not take long at all. I will most definitely be frequenting this establishment.Parking: Parking on the sides of the restaurant.Dietary restrictions: They are able to do no cheese in the sandwiches!

My sister and I passed this little gem twice, and decided to stop. The owner was super friendly and the food was delicious. We had the split pea soup and shared the pork 911 sandwich both were so good, although I will not be going back because I live in California, my sister and her daughter will definitely make a return trip. The menu is small but totally worth it!
