Engrain is one of my absolute favorite restaurants in the Berwick/Somersworth/Dover area. I always do build your own bowls with salmon and I am never disappointed. The bake goods are delicious! The black bean brownies are so rich and decadent and the semolina jam cookies are amazing (especially the Maine blueberry)! They have lots of local items like beer, wine, coffee, juice, and some pantry staples. I have yet to eat something that wasn’t excellent from Engrain. On top of the great food, it’s super cute inside! Modern farmhouse meets boho. And Jennifer is always an absolute delight to talk to!Dietary restrictions: Lots of vegetarian, vegan, etc options. I am dairy free snd pescatarian and can eat delicious meals here without hesitation

I love their food but they are always closed whenever I want to order! Even if it is their usual hours of operation. I’ve tried to order take out at least 4 different times when they were supposed to be open only to find out they had closed early that day.

I wish I had a picture but I ate my food so fast! This was my first time eating here and I got the special, buffalo pulled chicken sandwich. It was so delicious and the ingredients were fresh. It tasted like the chef cared about the food and after tasting the ingredients, I knew this was food that was properly sourced and wouldn't upset my stomach. It was full of so much flavor. Also I had the best conversation with the cashier. She was so lovely and so welcoming. Honestly I have zero complaints. Everything was perfect. I left the place happier than I went in. Thank you so much for caring about the food and the customers.

Awesome smoothies and bowls in a relaxed atmosphere. We were promptly greet at the counter and placed our order there. We chose a booth that had high seating and was quite comfortable. Our food arrived quickly and it was quite tasty. My Superfoods smoothie ROCKED! It was so good I seriously could've had three. I had the Pineapple Fried Rice Bowl and my wife had the Ginger Orange Chicken Bowl. Mine was spicy hot, enough so that my nose ran. Some bites were not hot, but most were. Although it was good, I would get something else next time. My wife liked her bowl very much, and I had a bite and it was veery good. Relaxed atmosphere, great seating (there is a table to eight!), quick service, friendly and helpful staff. On the main street with street parking. Just $38 for two.

Stopped here with my daughter and had some great food and smoothies! I also had the pineapple fried rice which had awesome seasonings and was such a large serving that I had enough leftovers for another meal. Highly recommended!

If you're ever in the area and looking for great food, this is the place for you! I ordered the Beef & Broccoli Stir Fry and it was delicious & so glad I stopped in for lunch! Seriously, if you looking for quality food at reasonable prices & friendly staff, you won't be disappointed. So good!
