We ordered Ben Reuben’s knishes for our wedding cocktail hour, and they were a huge hit! While we have tried many different flavors, we chose the classic Ben Reuben (pastrami) and Everything (potato and cheese) flavors, and they were simply delightful. We also got pigs in a blanket. Each were a standout favorite.
Ben Reuben’s also went above and beyond by accommodating our gluten-free family members and friends, so everyone could join in on the feast. To our delight, many guests who had never tried knishes before were pleasantly surprised and absolutely loved them. It was a fantastic addition to our celebration—highly recommended for any special occasion!

A very cute local place that sells homemade knishes, baked goods, and deli items. I first tried the everything knish with their delicious salmonaise sauce at Coveside cafe and I was hooked.
I visited the store for the first time and was pleasantly surprised to see all the other homemade items they offer. The gentleman who helped me out was very nice. We got take out and went to Bug Light to enjoy the food. I tried a salmon knish and a macaroon and both were absolutely delicious. They don’t skimp out on the fillings at all. The only downside is that they’re closed on the weekends, but it is a small local establishment and I imagine they probably take the weekends off to spend time with family. I can’t wait to go back to try the rest of the knishes and other food items.

A real gem! The owner was so kind and generous. He gave our 2-year old some free mandelbread and chatted with us for a while. All the knishes and salads were delicious! Will definitely stop by again next time we're in that part of the country.

This is now one of my favorite places in South Portland. It has a very homey feel to it. You can find public parking nearby. Ask the folks about the stained glass for a cool story. Very nice and informative staff. Very accommodating, too!I've never had a knish before going to this establishment - and they are absolutely delicious. So far, I've liked or loved everything I've had. Their zesty pickles are STRONG. You've been warned. They let us try it for free before buying one which was very nice! I love their signature Ben Reuben knish the most. The meat is very tender and moist. The bread isn't soggy from the moist filling. They give you a choice of which sauce you would like to go with your knish. They also have sandwiches which are very good - their Reuben is probably one of the best I've ever had. It felt like I was back in NYC around Houston street. Definitely stop by or order online from them if you can.
