If I can't understand what the food items are I'm less likely to try anything. I'm guessing this place is upscale as I couldn't understand what anything was on the menu. I think they might do better if they had descriptions of what the menu items are. And apparently the proprietor can't handle constructive criticism and got all emotional in their response now. I will definitely not be going back and asking any questions about the restaurant and if anybody asked me I'll give them an honest answer about how rude and immature the proprietor is. I would recommend avoiding.

All white people who struggled to explain their wildly expensive Caribbean dishes. Cook (chef?) was annoyed we asked for clarification on a meal. The chicken dish is $26 and it does taste good but it’s literally just chicken on a plate with creme, like didn’t even come with rice or anything.

My wife and I had a wonderful meal here and will be back. The service was fantastic, very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Appreciated that the meals were made to order and the ingredients were very fresh. If you are in Portland well worth the stop

Stopped in for happy hour and bar snacks. Cocktails were good, the Spicy Margarita is a must. No cebiche available, bummer. Chickpea and Quinoa "balls" were tasty but a little dry. Ill give it another try for dinner and see how that goes. It gets a lot of good press but didnt quite live it up to it when I was there.

Waited 45 min for a burger after sitting down and burger was overcooked
Loved the decor and great tunes. Food was tasty, fried cod sandwich, fried chicken sandwich. Cabbage salad refreshing, fries hand cut and well seasoned. Good tiki style cocktails. It was a hot day, no AC which was fine for me, it hit the Central American vibe, but some kind of airflow probably would have been good for some others including the staff. Would return, will recommend.

Atmosphere, food and service were wonderful. We had fish burger and media noche. They're very fresh and tasty. One note is that the lunch portion is a bit small in my opinion.
Latin American comfort food at its finest. Impeccable service and perfectly seasoned food with flair!

Service was great and food was incredible. The clam and ramp don was like a fantastic take on a Thai curry. Good selection of craft beer and $3 presidentes.
