We drove an hour just to eat at friendly’s, but when we got there it was closed. We got there at 8:20 and on the website it says they close at 9. This was a very disappointing experience.

Our family visited the beautiful state of Maine for my granddaughter's first birthday. We stayed at a local hotel and before calling it a night we noticed there was a friendly's! We were so excited seeing as how our state just closed their last location. When we arrived, we could see it was a little busy, 6 tables . Unfortunately not a single member of the staff acknowledged us at the ice cream window. They literally avoided eye contact. After waiting 13 minutes, I said "can someone take our order please", still trying to be understanding of overwhelmed kids . Unfortunately, I received a sarcastic reply by a young girl with orange highlights "we're busy, give us a minute" to which I responded, " we've been waiting 12 minutes and not a single employee acknowledged us. She proceeded to roll her eyes at me and then say something very disrespectful to a coworker. I've always loved coming to Maine and even more so, love friendly's ice cream. This experience was very disheartening, we were made to feel like we were a burden just showing up. It wasn't until another older team member came to take our order and apologize for the long wait and for her co-workers disrespect. Maine is a beautiful state that many New englanders love to visit. I think some training is 100% needed at this location for your younger staff. Customers don't mind waiting but we would like the acknowledgment that you see us and that you will be with us shortly. The ice cream was great but the service, not so much. I would have given zero stars for service but that wasn't an option.

Service and food were awesome - no complaints. Beef tips had a delicious Smoky flavor and broccoli was perfectly cooked. The only downfall was the migraine-inducing very bright led lighting throughout the restaurant. The hostess and server were very kind to let me choose my table, but even those on the edge of the room had spotlights over each table. Bring your sunglasses!😎

This place used to be a dump. My family was very surprised with the service and how clean everything was. Our waitress was on her game and we asked for a manager to let them know how great everything looked.
Ordered from door dash. Bag was stapled shut and not big enough to have meal and drinks, but receipt said drinks in bag. No drinks. Ordered a fribble as s treat because I’ve been very ill for nearly 2 weeks and my throat hurts. Very disappointing

Good experience with a family of 5. The food is good enough for a quick and convent meal and decently priced. The restaurant was understaffed but the staff who were present were excellent! Our waitress Hailey and the gentleman who was helping bus the tables, were pleasant, attentive, and kind to the children. Overall a great place to grab a fast bite to eat.
I ordered take out and was really pleased. It was ready fairly quickly and the staff was friendly when I went inside to pick it up. I had a 20-25 minute drive home, so I snacked on a couple pickle chips before heading home. Surprisingly the food wasn’t that cold, and a few minutes in the toaster oven and it was perfect! The fries were amazing :)
