My husband, 3 kids and myself went to Heidi's for dinner tonight, for the first time. We were absolutely blown away from start to finish. From the immediate warm welcome we received, to the amazing food and the impeccable customer service. We will definitely be going back and will recommend Heidi's. Customer service is truly an art and the guys who were working tonight were on point.

The fact they know my best friend by name and always greet us, recognize if we are missing someone, and often remember things we like speaks volumes. Their food is delicious, breads are seriously phenomenal. We love this place. If you haven't tried it, it's worth the stop. Definitely have some fun but really awesomely paired sandwich items. Hands down the best French onion soup. 10/10!

Hands down the absolute best hot pastrami sandwich in southern Maine. The large option has a 1/2 pound of thin sliced, perfectly seasoned pastrami!!! Great staff, clean dining and restrooms, super variety of sandwiches and homemade soups, stews and chowders. It’s a nice change from the area’s fast food or the food court in the nearby mall.

A friend of ours told us to check out the sandwiches. Homemade bread makes the sandwiches a lot better. My wife and I loved their sandwiches we would definitely go back. The service was great. They come over twice talk to us about how we thought about the food so they're very thoughtful and funny. Behind the main mall. Just to the right of Hannaford's. It's definitely worth the stop. Gary

We were pleasantly surprised as a lover of NY style delis that this place at the Portland mall delivered. Granted it's a faster food version of a deli so they limit your options but on what they deliver they don't cut corners. It's not a giant size like at the old Carnegie, and it's not the experience of a Katz, but for Maine it's damn close and it keeps to the deli standards. Highly recommend when you have a craving and I hope Heidi's flourishes for many more years to come. We'll be back!Kid-friendliness: My 8 month old had a blast and they had a child seat. Very clean and safe environment with appropriate music and great service.

My pastrami Reuben was quite good and ingredients were fresh. The side of potato salad was very tasty but was pretty small. Service was efficient and delivered with a smile. Atmosphere was pleasant and clean. With plenty of seating if you want to dine in. My only criticism would be the soup. I had corn chowder and it was pretty bland. In addition i got the smaller size which they call "regular" but should be called very small! I would go back but with expectations set lower on the sides and I wouldn't buy a small soup again for the price. Its about a 3.75 in my book but will round up to a four.
