After visiting the Portland Head Light we decided to get something sweet. We saw the long line outside of Red's and wanted to see what all the fuss was about. The wait was worth it. The best soft-serve we've ever had. The butterscotch was amazing. My wife got the s'mores sunday and she loved it. Super friendly staff and very tasty ice cream.

The cone that I received was the regular cone and the ice cream didn't even touch the edge. In the amount of money that I paid for the lack of ice cream I will never go there again. I used to love going there. I just can't believe the lack of ice cream they're serving now for that amount of money. I ordered a large because I don't get ice cream often and now they're serving larges as mediums.

I’ve been going here for 10+ years and have no complaints! Ice cream is great (for soft serve), the shakes/nor’easters are delicious, and I’m always welcomed with great service from the staff. I recommend!
My go to is: small vanilla nor’easter + Oreo + cookie dough + caramel mixed in + whip cream OR a hot apple sundae! Try it next time you go!
Parking: There is a parking lot for customers. Since the shop is so busy, the parking lot can get crowded. People are often going out of the one way so sometimes parking can be annoying. Service is so quick here that people are coming in and out constantly so parking frees up fast.

Stopped by here because we saw how long the line was and anything with a long line on a hot day must be worth it and it was. Very creamy and delicious ice cream.
Don't let the line scare you, it can get long but moves pretty quick. I'd say we had about 15 people in front of us and it moved in about 10min or so.
A lot of options for ice cream flavors, toppings, and creations. Had the cookies and cream soft serve which was very good. Blueberry sundae with vanilla ice cream was excellent, the blueberry sauce had plenty of blueberries in it. Also had the Pina colada shake which was very very thick, which I really enjoyed, it lasted a little over an hour on our trip back home without really melting.

They move through customers very quickly considering how busy they are. The soft serve, while nothing special, is delicious, and the crunch coating is tasty and unique. The boysenberry shake was a bit disappointing; way too sweet. There aren't many places to sit, and parking is limited.
We love the chocolate soft serve! The staff was so accommodating for food allergies. Anticipated many needs. Can’t recommend enough!
