Always a pleasure to spend an evening here - we've started meeting friends for Trivia night on Thursdays and it's been very enjoyable.

Not worth the price.Food is priced too high.Bathrooms are fine.Parking situation sucks with very faded lines causing issues with people parking.Staff was friendly.Just go across the street to willows. Better vibe. Better value. Far better food.

We first visited this location of Sea Dog in the summer of 2022, when its focus was on barbecue. At the time, I though the food was just fair and wouldn't have given it as high of a rating. Much of the barbecue was dry and, while I applaud them for trying something new, I felt like it wasn't a great fit. Now that they've pivoted to the menu featured at their other restaurants, I'm much more impressed. I've had one of the best burgers yet during our time in Maine at the South Portland Sea Dog location. The staff is friendly, and the location has both great indoor and outdoor seating.

The food lately has been hit or miss... Yesterday was a huge miss. The burgers we so over cooked, that one side was burnt, couldn't even cut it with the side of a fork. The fries weren't "fresh"... they had that texture like they had been sitting for a while, hence no flavor. It will be a while before I go back.

bowling expensive and was constantly shutting off during our bowling time while the minutes ticked by. the lane malfunctioned at least four times

Sea Dog's newest location has an opportunity to become a special place in South Portland, with bowling available year round for fun with friends and family, and a seasonal waterfront outdoor patio. The hazelnut porter was my favorite beer of the night, with a noticeable hazelnut scent and not too heavy malt flavor. We also split a Marzen (traditional Octoberfest beer), a lighter ale suitable for multiple servings. My pulled pork sandwich was tasty but a bit dry, which I fixed by adding the perfectly quick pickled slices atop the sandwich, and using the lightly smoky BBQ sauce. The jalapeño pineapple slaw was a surprise- delicious and subtle heat though the pineapple wasn't noticeable. My son said that the fried chicken was perfectly cooked in a lighter batter, very tasty, and not greasy. His fries were bland, not worth having on the menu as is.Next time we're here, we'll bowl and enjoy our beer and food in the comfortable seats at each of the 10 lanes.

Overall disappointing. Pleasant atmosphere, but the food leaves something to be desired. Got chili and it tasted like tomato paste with beans and some cheese sprinkled over it. Wife said the ribs tasted weird. As did the french onion soup. The chicken sandwich was ok.

Liked the environment! Enjoyed the musician very much. We met several of our friends there for drinks, and we felt our server took offense to that as service was getting to have to flag him down to get anything. Enjoyed it though very much.

The place looks nice and the Maine Mule was a delicious drink, but that's about all I can say about the place. I arrived with several colleagues and all the employees we dealt with were repeatedly telling us we may not have a place to seat because of some large party coming. But while I was there no crowd ever surfaced. But despite the sparse bar crowd, after the first round of drinks the bartender disappeared. I would have liked a second drink or perhaps even a menu to get a meal, but neither were offered up. And when I went to just pay for my drink and go, I was told because of the size of our group (8) it had to be one check - something that wasn't told to us earlier. So I had to just drop my cash on the table for someone to decide how to deal with it and the one check conundrum. While it seems like it could be a fun place with the bowling alley and all, I'd find somewhere else to spend my money.

So much fun - bowling and bbq. If you are looking for something different for when you spend time with the grandkids, this place is perfect. I hadn't bowled in years but it all came back. This was one of the most fun activities I have ever done with my grandkids. In my life, I have probably spent too much time in Texas but I have developed a taste for Texas brisket. This brisket was surprisingly good, done just right. The children's menu was a hit and the server was most attentive to all of the demands of a large group of children and adults. I highly recommend this place for a family get-together.

Grabbed a late bite here - just before closing and got treated like we were there when they opened. Friendly and prompt service. Started with a flight of beer, and then got pint of the "sun" Wife had this amazing martini - Wife's shashimi was delicious. Can't recall what I had, other than a good bowl of clam chowder...might have been the The chicken tenders were ok. Kids pasta & the fries were subpar Restrooms: Clean Ambiance: lively Parking lot: open. lit. free Service: good Beers: cold and tasty Would recommend: Yes Would re-patronize: Yes!

AVOID BBQ which is way too fatty and way too sweet. Very good Haddock, seafood, turkey burgers, sweet potato fries. Great service. They actually took chopped brisket off our bill since it was nothing but fat.

The food was great, but the prices versus the portions are too high, spend +70$ to fill up 2 people.
