About Beal's Lobster Pier

Beal's Lobster Pier in southwest harbor is a popular restaurant known for its delicious and fresh seafood. The menu features options such as lobster rolls, lobster Mac and cheese, shrimp, and steamers. The outdoor dining area, located right on the docks, offers a wonderful atmosphere with beautiful views. The staff provides excellent and attentive service, going above and beyond to make customers feel welcome. They also offer a kid-friendly environment with a kids menu and activities such as showing them the lobsters in the tank. Many visitors praise the lobster roll for its sweetness and tenderness, with perfectly toasted buns and simple seasoning that highlights the lobster's natural flavor. The restaurant has ample parking, and if the lot is full, additional spots are available within walking distance. Customers have enjoyed the delicious blackened haddock sandwiches, perfectly cooked fried shrimp, and the beautiful scenery. Recent reviews mention that the lobster was delish, with a great view from the table. Food is very good with quick service, and prices are reasonable — a 2 1/2 lb whole lobster costs around $50. Some guests appreciate the laid-back, friendly atmosphere and the outstanding food, including lobster grilled cheese and lobster linguine, both packed with lobster pieces. Desserts like blueberry pie with blueberry ice cream, made by locals, are enjoyed, especially with a beautiful sunset to end the meal. However, some visitors note that you pay for food and tip when ordering, and that service expectations can vary, such as refilling your own water and fetching your own dessert unless you wait until after the meal.
