My daughter and I wandered into Fin and Fern on a busy Friday evening and were given seats at the bar upstairs. The bartender is a master mixologist and extremely friendly. As vegans, we didn’t find much on the menu, but we asked for pizza and salad without the cheese and had a delicious meal!! The ambience was delightful and the people were so interesting!! Best restaurant on Deer Isle, by far!!!

Vegetarian options: Some pizzas and some salads are vegetarian

The Island has been garnering more attention as of last and that has brought some extraordinary food service outfits to cater to the appetites of said growing clientele. My wife and I have been to all of these establishments at least twice. Some of these restaurants offer food as an "event" which I have found immense enjoyment in, but barring that type of experience, Fin and Fern is the best standard model restaurant in Deer Isle. Amazing restaurant!! The food was universally delicious (seafood stew, swordfish and lobster ravioli), we ate on the porch which was so nice (plus they had blankets when it got chilly). Top notch service as well.
