I think if you order right, it might be better. The breakfast burrito was very basic, no real flavor, but nearby diners with the Benedict dishes looked better. Service was pleasant. The hash browns are not classic hash browns, but are hash round patties deep fried, like Dunkin Donuts or McDonald's type hash browns.

completely perfect restaurant. food is good, general energy of the place is pure and charged with boat water feelings. refreshing. went on a date with june here. she got blt, chips, pickle, iced tea. i got caesar salad, sweet potato fry, doctor pepper. they dont have coke just pepsi. really nice conversation with june sitting outside watching the dock :) i was having a migraine and the food was comforting i made a memory i will cherish close to my heart forever. looking forward to going for breakfast tomorrow with my sister!

Your hostess is rude...there was 6 of us and she says for future reference since you're regulars ( we're not) call for a reservation cause we get busy...there was hardly anyone in here and she kept telling us as she sat us down...that ruined it for all of us and we won't be back

First I need to say they have the BEST crab cakes I have ever had!! I have had crab cakes along the coast ( I'm also very picky about seafood) but Stonecutters in Stonington has the absolute best. Its packed with crab and the dill with a sprits of the fresh lemon really completes it. DELICIOUS!! The atmosphere is very casual and hospitable. Small town vibe, felt very taken care of. Would recommend 10/10 whether your staying here long term, short term, or just passing through, it's 100% worth the try!

We stopped in for lunch one summer afternoon. It was a bit crowded so we had to wait about 20 minutes for a table outside on the wharf. Unfortunately our visit coincided with low tide, and the odor coming from some of the sewer drains into the harbor right next to the restaurant was so overpowering and disgusting that we decided not to order food and left. The food might be great here, the view is outstanding, and presumably the sewage odor is not a problem when the tide is up, but do not go during low tide!

I was unlucky and happened to visit the first time when they had a non-regular closure, so I recommend calling if you can to confirm since Stonington is quite small and out of the way for most people. When I did get to visit it was pretty relaxed and offered enjoyable food and beverages for a pretty fair price. The menu spread is quite reasonable and you'll likely find something you enjoy if you're looking for the standard american affair. I didn't have any issues with wait times to either sit down or receive food but something to be aware of like any restaurant if you have scheduled plans.
