This motel is exactly what I expected for the rate. The floors were a bit creaky but there wasn’t a lot of guest activity so it didn’t keep us up. I was in town to work on my hundred highest list. The motel is conveniently located to the grocery store which is great for resupplying!

Dan is wonderful home cooked meals the owner is usually on site. Specials are always delicious don't miss this hidden gem. Rooms are convenient and priced right for your ski snowmobile or ice fishing trip snowmobile trails close by. What more could you ask for.

Stumbled upon this hidden gem of a local restaurant while looking for a place to eat around Sugarloaf. The server was very friendly and and gave really great food recommendations (fried fiddleheads, a local vegetable). Their fries were perfectly crispy & the food was great with generous portions. The restaurant has a cozy & woodsy cabin vibes. Saving this spot to revisit when we're back in the area!

The White Wolf Restaurant is a hidden gem! The food is amazing and the service is excellent. This evening I had the crispy duck. I'd had it before with crabapple sauce, which was great. Tonight it came with blackberry-maple-bourbon sauce, which was even better. Homemade bread with maple butter, potatoes roasted with herbs, winter squash, and maple flan rounded out a perfect meal. The owner and staff were, as usual, very friendly and accommodating. I live in the Moosehead region, so it's a two-hour drive for me to get to Stratton, but the dining experience is worth the trip.

Oct 2024. We had to check in quickly before our event and did not get to check the room before we had to leave. the charge was more expensive as we had only booked one night of the weekend. We arrived to our room after our event. Room was warm enough. The blinds did not cover the entire window near the door. There were curtains on the window over the desk but no shade. The desk had crumbs all over the it and the chair. There were only 2 hand towels in the bathroom- no towels for washing your face or taking a shower. Lots of dust and cobwebs in the room, but the bathroom was clean. There was no phone number in the room to call anyone, and we didn't have internet access because of a wind storm that day. The office wasn't open when we left in the morning. The beds were adequately comfortable. Passable if you just need a place to sleep.
