After yesterday’s fiasco with barbecue, we were going to get a lobster roll and one of my favorite places along highway 1. But being an Easter sadly they were closed so we continued on our way until we came across this barbecue place. Great interior and we were greeted nicely at the door. Our server could not been any nicer and we started off with fried pickles, which were fantastic with the dipping sauce they gave us. My wife had to fried chicken sandwich and I had to pull pork platter. Those were quite yummy. This was an unexpected stop, but well worth it.Dietary restrictions: Are you kidding? This is a barbecue place. Your diet should never be considered when you need to go to eat barbecue.

I dined at Station 118 two weekends in a row so I could try more menu items. Everything is delicious. They have the best smokey pulled pork I've had in Maine and the best corn bread I've had ever. All of the sides I tried (the black bean salad, baked beans, slaw, marinated cucumbers, potato salad) were all excellent. I highly recommend!

We are local to the area and decided to go out for BBQ. The food was not terrible. The brisket was overly fatty. It had good flavor. However, the unpleasant service, small portions and charging for refills on unsweetened iced tea ($3) will deter us from returning. When we had asked the server about being charged for a refill, the response was that it would be taken care of but they charge because iced tea is made in house. I wouldn’t suspect is to be made anywhere else as COGs for unsweetened iced tea is low as its usually a tea bag and water. I’m disappointed in feeling the server was attempting to pad the bill as charging for soft beverage refills is usually not a customary business practice, especially not seen in small towns within Maine. I hope the business corrects this moving forward.

Excellent meal. Lobster was sweet and delicious! The tips and Tails were so good. You get three lobster tails and the most delicious tender tips!!!

I preface this with two things. One, I love BBQ and I've been to some of the beast spots in the country. Two, I generally have lower expectations for BBQ in New England. To say I was pleasantly surprised is an understatement. The brisket was tender and moist, well seasoned but not overpowering. The baked beans were pretty good. The meat in it definitely was a good addition. The Mac and cheese was good, garlicky and well seasoned l, less cheesey than I've had in other places. My son, not an adventurous eater, loved the four cheese flatbread. Was very herby and flavorful. The cheesecake was a nice way to finish the meal. The staff was attentive. I understand completely why this place was filling up on a Monday night.I would put this spot up against the traditional BBQ spots in Portland ME and it would win from what I've tasted. We will definitely be back and I am very happy to have a good BBQ spot near where I live now.Vegetarian options: There were a variety

Station 118 is a waste of money and time. The food is dry, bland, and slightly overpriced. The service is friendly, but that does not make up for the poor quality of the BBQ. The portions are small and the menu is limited. There are better options for BBQ in Maine. Do not bother with this place.

Smoked brisket was wonderful, but had a piece of mint chocolate chip cake that was so fabulous! Homemade, real butter, just the best!

It’s not often to find a BBQ focused restaurant that offers vegan options, and even less often that a BBQ restaurant that offers delicious and extensive vegan options! I was so happy to be recommended Station 118 and look forward to coming back again!

This place is awful!! I'm not one for writing a bad review but this place is genuinely awful. I had lunch today with a friend and her daughter. I got pulled pork with beans, fries and a coleslaw. The coleslaw had NO flavor (at all), the beans were bland with a slight bit of heat, the fries were not crispy and the pork was okay but at one point, I had a mouthful of fat that I had to dispose of discreetly. The service was just as bad as the meal. I asked for some mayo and got an eye roll from the server. She didn't bring it until it was requested again. She was incredibly rude. I am a generous tipper- my baseline is 20% and go up from there. She didn't get close to that, I only gave a tip because I was with people. My meal cost $30 and my friends meal cost her $60. They also left part of their meals uneaten due to poor taste. To make things worse, I have felt sick since (several hours). We were so looking forward to some good BBQ and this place was not it!! It was a waste of time and money.

Great atmosphere, delicious food and solid service. However, the kitchen allows for Zero mods and if you order a different protein than what comes with your salad they up-charge considerably. Better off just getting "a side" of the desired vs substituting. All around Great otherwise.

This is the second time that I visited Station 118 first time was about a year ago and then this afternoon for lunch and to give it an honest review would be to say that I like to give any restaurant a couple chances before I post anything, and I must say that I was a little bit disappointed across-the-board with what we order today The establishment is super cute great little location, old gas station feel great Decour on the inside the field the bar everything's really good on aesthetically the food not as good as I'd hope we ordered the chili, con queso, french fries, poutine style, appetizer, the chili and the cheese sauce was very good and the disappointing part was the french fries Super soggy and they were undercooked. They felt like they were still raw inside. I mean they were fried, but they weren't weren't good french fries at all then we got the ribs with mac & cheese and corn on the cob. The corn was very good and it had a little dusting of some sort seasoning on it. Mac & cheese was good, you know a good quality tasty mac & cheese. Good covering of the cheese sauce goes really well with their sauces if you'd like to dip it but the ribs need a knife just to get meat off the bone super dry I don't know if they were over cooked or if it was just a bad cut of meat not sure because he could smoke ring on it, it was flavorful, but just not the type of ribs that you would expect from a barbecue joint. I have a short barbecue from all over the country, Texas, North Carolina, and everywhere in between roadside fancy places and these might've been the worst batch of ribs that I've had just unfortunately just not Tender they were not juicy you know not mouthwatering they do not fall the bone room. Are you think about ribs? Unfortunately these were not however, looking at one of the other customers next to us they had brisket and it looked fantastic so I think overall it like I said, I think I'll give it three stars. Oh, it's probably worthy of another trip back but I hope they read the reviews in and take a look at their procedures and maybe it's just a small thing here and there that they could address or really synonym of the top because I think it's got a lot of possibilities. Enjoy.

Pulled pork and brisket was great, cornbread appetizer and smoked chicken wings really good. The mac and cheese side was disappointing, not much cheese. The bbq baked beans were great for one of us but had green pepper which is a personal preference that I don't like.Parking: When we went it wasn't busy (Sunday afternoon) but parking was still tight.

Food is important, and it missed the mark.the atmosphere was great the service was good enough but the food was awkward. Let me explain, I ordered the pork ribs half rack several sides and two appetizers my date had BBQ dip sandwich. Ribs are important for a BBQ joint, you should be able to almost slide the meat off the bone and all the silver skin should be trimmed off... This was not the case. The ribs are as tough as rubber, unfortunately. I wouldn't order again. The Mac and cheese was hyped by our waitress... Its nothing special, honestly a little bland and no toasted cheesy flavor, not creamy... it's kinda hot lunch level, really nothing to go out of your way to order. Big let down was the potato salad, see the thing about potato salad is it gives your mouth a break from the spice and heat of the BBQ It helps you taste the BBQ but this was spiced to the hilt! I get under seasoned potato salad is a sin but this was overkill in the worst way possible. We got the queso fries, not bad but it was a little one note again, good fries good sauce, needed some acid and smoke to break up the carbs and fat, a little pulled pork and bacon and a shot of BBQ sauce drizzled over top would take this to a dish up several notches in my opinion. Like a BBQ poutine. Enjoyed the cornbread, top notch. Beans... Don't get them unless you like hatch chilies, ... New England makes the best beans on earth and these don't even come close to our traditional recipe. To acidic. Idk if this is a BBQ place, it's southern themed but the menu is BBQ shy, no brisket, no smoked beef, no burnt ends or collard greens, no sampler plate... The usual suspects of a great BBQ joint. I think they just need some fine tuning, and revisit the actual BBQ part of the menu, it was the weakest part of the meal by far.
