I'll start with-- this is a cute little restaurant in a cute little downtown of Thomaston. We didn't have a reservation but it was a cold Sunday night after daylight savings so everyone was likely home complaining about how dark it was so early. Needless to say, we got seated right away. They seem to prefer reservations though. My favorite thing? The small rotating menu. It's nice to see them try to do only a few dishes really well. The service was good. The menu had some solid options. The food? We had the steak chili, shrimp allá vodka and the pizza with pumpkin. All the dishes were very delicious. But really, the shrimp allá vodka sauce was actually so good. We did not want the dish to end. Why the 4 stars? Our $27 shrimp dish only had 4 small shrimp in it. While it was very delicious we called the shrimp "gold" because there were so few and they were so good that it was like finding gold in your plate when the bite had it in it. The other piece, I read this in a review below, but decided to try it for myself. There seems to be a problem with their ventilation system in the kitchen. We were sitting at our table and suddenly it got Smokey but not like visible smoke but you felt it in your eyes. One of my eyes started watering and burning and then my son said his eyes were hurting even though I didn't say anything about it. It seems odd, but definitely impacted our dining experience. This place is a great little gem and we will come back when a new menu is around to try all the new in season dishes.

Really delicious dinner of pasta and scallops, sharing a salad. Staff are friendly. Only less than outstanding was the music was too loud, but then we didn't ask to turn it down. Local scallops were local and a large portion; next time we'll share it.

The entire restaurant was filled with smoke, so much so that everyone's eyes in my party were stinging by half way through our experience. Ordering and being served four burgers took over 1.5 hours. The only saving Grace we're the cocktails, which were quite good.

Very limited menu that changes often so hard to know what will be available. If you are sensitive to some foods (we are), the kitchen was not willing to accommodate us. We made it work and the food was very good. They have lots of cocktails, limited but good selection of wine and beer. It is certainly worth a try if you can take it just as they serve it.

Menu used to be eclectic and exciting. Now it is boring, bland and the food is poor. Lasagna in a mushroom sauce? Dry focaccia. No fresh fish. No oysters. Only meat is a burger. Where o where is the founding chef?

Menu looks fantastic. Unfortunately, the attitude and complete lack of anything fundamentally resembling hospitality from the bartender left a lot to be desired. Great craft cocktails prepared by a rude and arrogant bartender. Feels like NYC. Perhaps he’s had a bad day & gotten dumped. Perhaps his parakeets head fell off. Perhaps another time might be different.

Great place! Kale salad and pizza were terrific. Lasagna with Marsala/mushrooms was very creative and good - although didn't "hit the spot" for me. Staff was super friendly and went out of their way to accommodate my 88 yo mom. 2nd time eating there and both were very positive experiences! Terrific to have this spot in Thomaston!

Great location, food and friendly service!! Just a bit dark for my old eyes ..needed to use my cellphone flashlight. Highly recommend. Will definitely go back next time we are in town!

When the meal needs no bread, one knows she is in for a treat. Balanced and beautiful, the meals and drinks sang the song of true artistry. Inspiration. Thanks, Caleb, Josiah, and Elizabeth for the life treat.Vegetarian options: Poached pear-a true delight for the taste buds.

So many restaurants in the town were closed, had to really look for something that wasn't a chain. Yelp helped to find this establishment.Small place with a limited menu, but nice change from chain places.Quite good food on a menu that isn't the same all the time. Fresh ingredients. They cook every order from scratch, so don't expect to run in and dash right back out..... head on in,have a drink, meet some locals... slow down and enjoy the food. Worth it.... even better??? Great prices on the meals!

This place was wonderful when it first opened but has gone rapidly downhill. My last two visits were terrible. The kitchen is beyond slow. No one in your party gets their food at even remotely close to the same time, and there is no explanation as to when the missing meals might arrive. The food, when it arrives after at least a half hour wait, is at best ho hum, some dishes not at all appealing. To top it off, they have extremely poor ventilation and thus have to keep the door propped open or it becomes too smoky. You either freeze or are eaten alive by mosquitos (maybe both!), yet you and your clothes will still reek of food when you finally get home.
