We go here a couple times a month for dinner. They have some gluten free options, great chicken wings and a great bar though it is very small, so we have had to sit at a table a couple of times. The dining area doesn't have great ambiance but the food and service has always been terrific.
Our first visit to Thomaston Cafe was for breakfast. Because we enjoyed it so much, we returned for dinner. The cafe still looks the same, and the servers were as friendly as ever, but.... Sadly, our breakfast of a few years ago far surpassed the adequate but unremarkable dinner. Maybe if we'd ordered the burgers? The place was packed with regulars - friends greeting one another and talking between tables - and most everyone had ordered the burger special of the night.\n\nIf...
Super great BLT and burger! Food took forever to get to our table however. Wait staff, super sweet, but over stretched. Didn't bring an item or two, just too overwhelmed, I guess.
