Our first visit to Thomaston Cafe was for breakfast. Because we enjoyed it so much, we returned for dinner. The cafe still looks the same, and the servers were as friendly as ever, but.... Sadly, our breakfast of a few years ago far surpassed the adequate but unremarkable dinner. Maybe if we'd ordered the burgers? Super great BLT and burger! Food took forever to get to our table however. Wait staff, super sweet, but over stretched. Didn't bring an item or two, just too overwhelmed, I guess.
Heading home after a stay in Bar Harbor, we were enjoying the Maine scenery along Route 1, and needed a dining option before we jumped on the interstates. Heading through Thomaston, I caught sight of the Cafe out of the corner of my eye and we pulled in.
