Fairground Cafe

Food not cooked the way we asked. Had to get a second order cooked right. No refill on coffee. Not recommended.

With breakfast places being at a minimum, it seems. I am glad there are still some good places like this to eat. Portions are good, the food is cooked as ordered, service was pleasant and right on top of things. I recommend this place.

Had the steak and eggs, and coffee all was cooked perfectly.

I stopped by this cafe while on a business trip in the area and had a hankering for some diner vibes. I was expecting the usual recommendations when it came to local spots, however, I was absolutely surprised when I stopped at this unassuming locale.

Not only was I greeted at the door, I was summarily waited upon by one of the staff within a few moments of setting myself down. While only asking for basic fare (two scrambled eggs, a side plate of bacon and some toast) I received a positive attitude and adequate amounts of coffee by my server, Suzanne.

I had barely finished my first cup of brew before being plated with an absolute wonderfulversion of the simple food I had ordered. The eggs were fluffy, the bacon crisp, and the toast as warm as it I had just drawn it from the toaster myself.

When finished with my splendid meal I gave my compliments to the chef, whose name was Jason I believe, and paid my bill. It was a fraction of the cost of what I'd normally pay at a chain restaurant.

I hope the next time I'm in the area I have the opportunity to stop by this wonderful place again!

My friend and I have been going on and off since the last time last year. We usually are fine going in, but life changes. We called to see if we could reserve a table for a wheelchair and the manager stated that they do not reserve tables. I remembered that there were 2 groups that had not shown up, and the tables were put together and ready for them. No one was there yet. They stated people would rather have the booths than the tables, and we might have to wait for one. The manager stated that if we did not show up, it would affect the waitresses. We understand, but we would not leave them hi and dry. We love the food dearly but are still disappointed with what has happened. And the waitresses are great. There are a couple that we totally love.

We have been going for breakfast every Monday for months. The last few times the food was cold and a big disappointment. Waitress (older lady) was very slow in all respects. I had to chase her down to pay bill. It’s to bad it has gone down hill. Business was slow no excuses. We will not be going back!

The food is great especially considering it's a cheaper cafe serving breakfast all day you'll see the slow one complaining about getting a bisket dry but you got a bisket lol I see plenty of what I'd assume are old and pissy complaining folks looking for free food
